Will and Lynx walked down the corridor in the dungeons. Lynx was holding what looked like green water balloons while Will was holding a red pen.
"I can't believe you dragged me into this, Lynx," Will hissed at his little sister. "If we're caught, I hope you know that I will manage to pin the blame all on you."
"And how, exactly, will you do that?" Lynx said, annoyed. Her brother had been complaining the whole time and her pateince was wearing thin.
"I'll say you imperioused me. . ." Will said stubbornly.
"Yeah, they'll believe that," Lynx snapped. "And besides, it's part of the blackmail. You have to help me and you can't tell on me. So if I go down, you go down with me."
"You should have been in Slytherin," Will grumbled. "You're evil."
Lynx hissed at him to shut up, her head was starting to ache. It had been a stressful year. It started with Mr. Weasley getting bitten by that snake, and Lynx remembered spending the whole night comforting Ginny and saying that everything would be fine - that her father was too tough to be taken down by a snake. Then they had to deal with sulking Sirius, which was both sad and annoying.
Will spent extra time with Sirius, hoping to cheer him up, but he soon gave up because Sirius was crushing his spirit. Will wished he could do more because he really feeled bad for Sirius, but it took two to have fun and Sirius seemed to forget what fun actually was.
Lynx stated that she was sure Sirius never knew what fun was, but Will disagreed. Only a person who knew fun could have invented the marauder's map, became an illigal animagus, and befriended a werewolf. Lynx reluctantly agreed that she was impressed.
"But can you expect anything less?" Lynx bragged. "He is our family, and our family is awesome."
Will had rolled his eyes but couldn't help but agree. For one thing, their mother was very cool headed and didn't much care for being over protective or trying to control their lives, their father s managing to hide from everyone in the world even though his memory is a bit hazy, and their uncle was the first ever to escape Azkaban. Anyone had to admit that their family was really cool.
"Shh," Will put his hand over Lynx's mouth and pulled her into the dark corner behind a suit of armor.
Footsteps were heard turning the corridor and sweeping down, not noticing the two teenagers watching with wonder.
"That was Snape," Lynx said, pointing out the obvious. "I wonder why he looked so annoyed."
"I heard Harry takes romedial potions," Will said. "And those two must be at eachother's necks. . . "
"Let's see if Harry managed to destroy the potion's room already," Lynx said gleefully, then she hurried down the corridor to Snape's potions room without waiting to see if Will was following.
Will rolled his eyes in exasperation but followed his sister.
When they got there, they did not expect to see Hary diving into a bowl of what seemed to be silver mist - or what is solid? Liquid? Will wasn't turn, it looked pretty solid, but it was rippling like disturbed water.
"Harry?" Will said, grabbing his sister's wrist and pulling her behid him, just to make sure that she didn't fall into the silver substance as well.
"How did he do that?" Lynx whispered, not able to raise her voice in shock.
"I don't know," Will looked into the pensive and was shocked to see the Great Hall in it. But the Great Hall looked differant, instead of four long tables there were hundreds and hundreds of desked -
