Chapter 12: Back To School
ECHO'S POV
My mom talked to the school and they agreed to change my classes around and to let Haven walk me to and from each class. Monday came around and I had to get back to school. Since Haven and I have made up, he's been driving Davey to school while I've been staying home.
He's also been kind enough to pick up all of my homework for me so I had it ready to turn in on monday. I had nothing better to do, so I did my homework.
"Thanks Haven." Davey said as he ran into the school.
"Come on Echo, let's go."Haven said. I took a deep breath and closed my eyes for a second. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't nervous, I'm terrified as hell. I don't want to run into Steven and possibly get hurt, or even get Davey hurt.
"He won't hurt you when I'm around." Haven siad. I nodded and got out of the car, following him into the school. I walked into the office and up to the lady at the front desk.
"Um, I had my schedule changed."
"Name?"
"Echo Biersack." She looked through her computer before looking back up at me.
"Grade?"
"Eleventh."
"Here you are." She said, printing it out and handing it to me. It wasn't too much driving. I changed math classes, creative writing classes, english classes and science classes. I also got switched to second lunch, which meant I no longer had lunch with Haven, but all well. As long as I stay away from Steven. The good thing was, I was now in the same English as Haven, which made me feel a lot better.
"Awesome, we have the same first period now, let's go." He said and I nodded as we went to the stairs and into class.

I grabbed the bathroom pass and walked out of my math class. I ran my fingers through my hair, trying to calm myself down as I walked to the bathroom. I felt like Steven was going to pop out of no where. I reached the bathroom and opened the door.
"Hello Echo." I jumped about ten feet in the air and turned to see Stevne leaning against the opposite wall. Shit.
"J-Just leave me alone." I said, clutching onto the door handle. I know I should run into the bathroom, he can't follow me into the girl's bathroom, right? I should've run, but I was frozen.
"No need to be scared." He smiled, walking closer to me.
"G-Go away." I said, tears coming to my eyes. He grabbed my arm and pulled me roughly to him.
"I will get what I want." He said, laughing evily as he dragged me into the bathroom. I started screaming for help, Steven's hand clamping over my mouth. All of a sudden, Steven was yanked out of the bathroom and he let go of my arm. I ran out to see Haven had pinned him against the wall.
"YOU FUCKING LEAVE HER ALONE!" Haven said, gripping onto Steven's shirt.
"I DON'T HAVE TO!"
"What on earth is going on out here?" A teacher asked, coming out of her classroom.
"Can you please call the principal? Tell him that my name is Haven Purdy and he or someone needs to come here now." Haven said. The teacher nodded and hurried into her room. Steven started kicking and swinging, trying to get out of Haven's grasp.
"Echo, go back to class." Haven said.
"But-"
"GO BACK TO CLASS!" I sprinted back to class and stood outside the door for a second to calm myself down. I walked back in and sat at my desk, blinking back tears.
"Echo, the principal needs to see you in his office." My teacher said.
"Ooooooooh!" The class chimed.
"Oh quiet." The teacher said as I walked out of the room. I should've felt safer, knowing Steven was probably in the principals office, but I was still really paranoid.
I walked into the office and walked a little bit more to reach the principals office. I walked into see Haven sitting in one of the chairs.
"I'm so glad you're okay. Did he hurt you?" Haven asked, hugging me tightly.
"N-No, th-thank you." I said, crying into his shoulder.
"You're just lucky I was running an errand for a teacher." We broke the hug and we both sat down in the two chairs in front of the principals desk.
"Now Echo, can you tell me what happened?" The principal asked. I looked around, making sure Steven wasn't around.
"It's okay, he's not here, he can't hear you." Haven said, placing his hand on my arm. I took a deep breath and chewed on my lip.
"I-I was going to the bathroom and I s-saw him. He told me he always get's what he wants and was dragging me into the bathroom to try to r-rpe me." I said, starting to cry. Haven came closer to me and wrapped his arms around me, trying to calm me down.
"Well Miss Biersack, I suggest that you go to the bathroom when Haven is around or before you come to school. Do you think you can go back to class or do I need to call your parents?"
"H-Home." I said, wiping my eyes. I hated crying at school, but I just couldn't help it.
"Haven, can you go get her stuff?"
"Yes sir." Haven said, walking out of the office.
"Mr. Biersack, this is the principal at Echo's school. She's had an run-in with Steven and would like you to come pick her up. Thank you." He said and hung up the phone.
"He's on his way, you can sit here and wait for him."
"T-Thank you." I said, digging the heels of my hands into my eyes. Haven walked in and gave me my stuff before hugging me and going back to class.
My dad walked in about ten minutes later, my mom following him.
"Oh Echo, are you okay? What happened?" My mom asked, kneeling down and grabbing my face in her hands.
"I went to the bathroom a-and Steven w-was there and he t-tried to rpe me. Haven saw and s-saved me."
"Well thank god for Haven." My dad said. They talked with my principal for a bit before they took me out to the car. I got in the backseat and pressed my head against the window.
"There's got to be some way to get that boy out of that school. In juvey or something." My mom said. "Are you sure you don't want to switch schools Echo?"
"I-I'm sure." I said.
