Chapter 35

ANDY'S POV

Haven has refused to leave Echo's hospital room. His parents come back every day, trying to bring him home but also giving Niki and I support.

"Haven, it's been a week. You need to come home, go to school, and for god sakes, take a fucking shower!" Ashley exclaimed.

"I-I can't. W-What if she wakes up."

"Haven, your dad will pull you out of school as soon as she wakes up. Okay? You need to go back to school, get an education. You're so close to graduating, don't let it slip away. It's what Echo would want." I tried.

"I guess." He sighed, running his fingers through his hair. "But, I-"

"Haven, we've got it under control. We'll call you as soon as something happens, but you need to get a decent rest in your own bed, go back to school. You just need to take a moment for yourself. You can come back here after school, okay?"

"Okay." He said, standing up and walking over to Echo. He told her he loved her and kissed her cheek before walking over to his dad.

"See ya Andy, Niki." Ashley said.

"Bye." We said as they left the room.

"I feel bad for the kid." Niki said.

"Yeah, he really loves Echo."

"God, it must be so hard to go through this." Niki said and I nodded.

HAVEN'S POV

"Okay." I said, standing up and walking over to Echo. I grabbed her hand and blinked back some tears. "I love you Echo. Please, please wake up. I need you. I love you so much." I said, kissing her cheek before walking over to my parents.

We walked out of the hospital and out to the car. I got in the backseat, sighing and crossing my arms over my chest.

"I know you don't like this Haven, but it's whats best for you. It's what Echo would want."

"I know." I said, staring out the window. We got home and I went into my room, closing my door. I collapsed onto my bed and acted like a five year old having a temper tantrum. I beat my fists against the bed and kicked my legs, screaming and crying into my pillow.

"THIS ISN'T FUCKING FAIR!" I screamed, throwing my pillow and knocking a picture frame off of my dresser. I slowly made my way over to it and picked it up. It was a picture of Echo and I at our junior prom.

"Haven, are you okay?" My dad asked, rushing into my room, my mom right behind me. I didn't answer, just continued starting at the picture. Tears rolled down my cheeks, falling onto the picture.

"Hav-"

"Just leave me alone."

"Wha-"

"LEAVE ME THE FUCK ALONE!" I screamed, looking up at them, the tears pouring out of my eyes now. They left and closed my door, leaving me to have my tantrum alone. I finally collapsed onto my bed and passed out.

I don't know how I'm going to get through a full day of school tomorrow.
