Chapter 51

ECHO'S POV

*A few weeks later*

"Echo! Davey! Nate! Your dad is home!" My mom called from downstairs. My brothers sprinted out of their rooms and down the stairs. I got up and followed, watching as my brothers and dad hugged each other.

"Echo." My dad smiled as the boys stepped back. I walked down the rest of the stairs and hugged him tightly, burrying my face into his shoulder.

"I missed you so much." I mumbled.

"I missed you too, all of you. I love being on the road, but I hate being away from you guys." My dad said. "Have you started packing your stuff up yet?" My dad asked. Haven and I planned to move into our apartment in a week.

"Not yet. I've been procrastinating."

"Take as much time as you need." My dad chuckled, kissing my forehead.

*One Week Later*

"Was that the last box?" Haven asked as he came back into the house from the car.

"Yeah."

"Alright, say your goodbyes and let's get moving." Haven said and I nodded. I turned around to see my brothers walking in.

"As much as I complain about the two of you, I'm going to miss not seeing you everyday." I smiled.

"We'll miss you too Echo. We love you." They said.

"I love you guys too." I said, hugging them tightly. I let go and my mom handed Legacy to me. 

"Never grow up, okay?" I chuckled as she smiled up at me. I leaned down and kissed her forehead, handing her to Davey. My mom wrapped her arms tightly around me, resting her head on my shoulder.

"I'm going to miss you Echo."

"So am I, but I'll always come back to visit."

"You better." She said and I laughed.

"I will, don't worry. Where's dad?"

"Ugh, hold on." She groaned. "Andy! Echo's leaving!" He came into the entry way, almost zombie like. He's been moping around all day. His eyes met mine and I saw tears well up in his eyes.

"Dad! You're going to make me cry!" I exclaimed, covering my mouth.

"I-I can't help it." He said with a small smile. I walked closer to him and hugged him tightly. "I'm going to miss you Echo, you'll always be my first baby girl."

"I'll miss you too dad." I said, tears rolling down my cheeks. He kissed the top of my head and took a deep breath, wiping his eyes as he let go of me.

"Haven, I need to speak to you in the living room." My dad said.

"I'll meet you in the car." Haven said, tossing me the keys. I nodded and walked out the door, getting into the car and turning it on. Haven came back out about a minute later and slid into the driver's seat, pulling out of the driveway and beginning to drive to our apartment.

"What'd my dad say?" I asked.

"He just told me to take good care of you, which I will."

"Good." I giggled. "God, I'm going to miss them." I sighed.

"I know, I'm going to miss my family too. But, now we can create our own lives, together." He said, grabbing my hand with his free one.

"Together." I repeated, locking my fingers with his.
