Chapter 68: Beach

ECHO'S POV

"Haven! Let's go!" I called.

"Coming." He said, coming out of the hallway. We walked out of the apartment and down to our car. Today was Legacy's first birthday and my family was celebrating at the beach. Everyone was coming, my family, BVB and their family and even my grandparents flew in.

We parked in the parking lot and walked across the sand until we reached where my family was.

"Echo! Haven! You made it!" My mom exclaimed, hugging us.

"Yeah." I said. "There's the birthday girl." I smiled, picking her up. I tickled her and she giggled, squirming in my arms.

"Eh-o!" She exclaimed and I smiled. She had started talking lately. But she's only been able to say my name, dada and mama. My parents and brothers are working on my brothers' names. I greeted everyone since we seemed to be the last ones who showed up.

"Andy, why don't you take Legacy into the water." My mom said, handing my dad Legacy's floatie. He groaned and grabbed it from her.

"I'll go with you dad." I said, taking off my shorts and shirt to reveal my bikini. My dad picked up Legacy and we went down to the ocean where the other kids were already playing. He set the floatie down in the water and put Legacy in it. She started crying and kicking her legs, causing my dad to pick her up.

"Someone doesn't like the water." He laughed. He slowy dipped her feet in and pulled her up again, trying to get her used to the water.

"Look Legacy, it's fun." I smiled, going deeper into the water until my shoulders were covered. I used my arms and legs to keep me afloat. "See." I said and went back over to my dad. I held the floatie and he tried again, placing her in it. She reached out and slapped the water, laughing when it made a splash. She kept doing it, getting us and herself wet.

"Woah there, slow down." My dad laughed. We pushed Legacy a little further out and my dad spun her a bit, Legacy giggling the whole time.

"Alright, we should probably get you back." My dad said after about five minutes in the water. He picked her up and we walked back to where everyone else.

"Did she have fun?" My mom asked.

"Yeah." He said, handing Legacy to my mom. My mom sat Legacy down on the blanket with her, her legs extending to the sand. She noticed her wet foot was now covered in sand and wouldn't stop staring at her foot. She reached out and grabbed the sand, letting it fall through her fingers.

"What is that?" My mom asked. Legacy kept playing with the sand, my mom putting her closer to the edge of the blanket. She spent a good five minutes playing with the sand before my mom cleaned her off.

"Andy, call everyone back for food."

"FOOD!" My dad screamed and the kids came running. They wrapped themselves up in their towels and sat in any empty space. Everyone grabbed their own food and my mom fed some to Legacy.

Soon, it was time for cake and my mom pulled out the small cake first that was just for Legacy. She put another towel down and placed the cake on top of it. Everyone sang happy birthday and my mom blew out the candle. She pulled the candle out and Legacy looked up at my mom, causing everybody to laugh.

"Play with the cake." My mom said. Legacy reached out and placed her hand, crying when she saw the icing on it.

"Awwh, someone doesn't want to get dirty." My mom laughed, wiping off her hand. Legacy used her other hand and dug her hand into the cake, crying when she saw the other hand was now dirty.

"Make up your mind Legacy." My dad laughed, taking the cake away. They got the other cake out and gave everyone a piece. They had decided to save the presents for when they got home since we're at the beach and they don't want sand all over their house because of the toys.

Legacy, crawled away from my mom a bit and got onto her feet, her hands staying on the ground to keep her up. She pushed her self up but then fell. She tried about five more times, before falling again and crying.

"Awh, you're almost there." My mom laughed, holding Legacy closer. We stayed until everyone left and we went home ourselves.
