Chapter 27: What Is This?

ANDY'S POV

*One Week Later*

The kids were at school and Niki was making me do the laundry. I went into Echo's room to see that she had not put all of her dirty clothes in the hamper like we ask. I was gathering all her clothes off her floor when I found a small square package on the floor. I picked it up and gasped, almost passing out.

"NIKI!" I screamed, running down the stairs.

"What?" She asked looking at me from the couch.

"Why did I find this in Echo's room?" I asked, tossing the condom at her.

"I don't know."

"Oh my god, do you think Echo and Haven had sex while we were gone? Damnit, I knew we shouldn't have let them stay in the same house. Oh god, what if she's pregnant." I rambled.

"Andy, calm down, we'll ask her when she get's home." She said and I collapsed onto the couch.

"She told us she's still a virgin."

"Andy, just stop worrying about it." She said, patting my leg. "Plus, if they did have sex, at least we know they're using condoms."

ECHO'S POV

"Hello Echo." My mom said as I walked in the door.

"Hi." I said, heading towards the stairs.

"Echo, can we ta-"

"WHY THE FUCK WAS THERE A CONDOM IN YOUR ROOM!" My dad shouted, cutting off my mom.

"What?"

"Andy!"

"THIS!" He yelled and threw the unopened package at me.

"WHERE THE HELL DID YOU GET THIS AND WHY WERE YOU IN MY ROOM?"

"Echo!"

"I WAS DOING THE LAUNDRY! NOW WHY THE HELL WAS THERE A CONDOM IN YOUR ROOM?" He yelled and I sighed. "OH MY GOD! YOU AND HAVEN HAD SEX! I KNEW IT! I'M GOING TO FUCKING KILL HIM!"

"DAD! STOP!"

"I'M GOING OVER THERE RIGHT NOW AND I'M GOING TO STRANGLE HIM!" He said, grabbing his keys.

"DAD! STOP!" I cried, going over to the steps and sitting down.

"Echo, what's wrong?" My mom asked, running over to me and wrapping her arms around me. My dad's face softened up and he sank to his knees.

"Echo?" My dad tried.

"We tried." I admitted.

"What?" My mom asked.

"We tried to have sex, twice. I-I thought I was ready, I really did. But my shirt would come off and I would start having a panic attack. All because of fucking Steven."

"Oh Echo." My mom said, hugging me tightly.

"Notice why the fucking condom isn't open." I snarled at my dad.

"Echo, languge." She said and I sighed. "Why don't you go up to your room. I'm going to have a little chat with your father." I nodded and grabbed my bag, going up the stairs.

I got onto my bed and texted Haven.

E~ You left ur fucking condom in my room

H~ What? Oh my god! Did u get in trouble?

E~ Yes! My dad just yelled at me.

H~ Shit, I'm so sorry Echo. Did you tell them we haven't had sex.

E~ Yes. My parents are talking right now.

H~ Okay well, I hope you don't get into too much trouble <3

"Echo, can I come in?" My dad asked, knocking on the door about ten minutes later.

"Yeah." I said, putting my phone down. He walked in and closed the door behind him, sitting at the foot of my bed. He turned to look at me and bit his lip.

"I'm sorry for freaking out like that Echo."

"It's fine." I shrugged.

"No, it's not fine. I overreacted. Just, sex means growing up, and I'm not ready for my little girl to grow up."

"Dad, I'm seventeen."

"You'll always be my little girl, my only little girl." He said with a smile. "Just promise me when you and Haven finally do...you know, use protection. There doesn't need to be any babies running around here." He smirked.

"I understand, dad." I smiled.

"I love you Echo." He said.

"I love you too dad." I said, crawling over to him and hugging him. He wrapped his arms around me and kissed the top of my head.
