Chapter 30

NIKI'S POV

"Can you believe we're doing this again?" I asked, looking over at Andy.

"I know." He said, rubbing his thumb over my hand.

"Niki Biersack?" We stood up and followed the nurse down a hallway and into a room. She left and I got onto the table, lifting up my shirt. Andy pulled a chair up next to me and grabbed my hand, kissing it. The doctor walked in and smiled at both of us, shaking our hands.

"You're back!" She exclaimed and we nodded.

"Yup." I said as she sat down on her stool.

"So, you said you took a home pregnancy test and it turned out positive?" She asked.

"Yup, and we're just wanting to confirm before we tell the kids." I said and she nodded.

"How old are they now?"

"Echo is seventeen, Davey is fifteen and Nate is thirteen."

"Ah, all teenagers." She said and we nodded.

"God help us." Andy laughed as she brought over the ultrasound machine.

"You'll do just fine." She said, squeezing the gel onto my stomach and moving the wand around my stomach. "There's your baby." She said, pointing up at the screen. "You're a little over a month along."

"Great." I said with a smile. She printed out a picture and turned off the machine, wiping off my stomach. She stood up and said goodbye to us before walking out of the room.

"There's number four." Andy said, looking down at the picture.

"Yup." I said, pulling down my shirt and getting off the table. Andy went out to the car while I made my next appointment. I quickly joined him in the car and we drove home.

"We're home!" My dad called.

"Kids, can you come down here?"

"Now?" Andy asked and I nodded. He sighed as we walked over to the living room. The kids walked in and sat down in the living room with us.

"What's up?" Echo asked.

"Oh god." I said, covering my mouth and running into the bathroom, spilling my guts. I hate this part.

"What's wrong with mom?" I heard Nate ask.

"Well, um." Andy said. I stood up and washed out my mouth, brushing my teeth before walking back out.

"Sorry about that." I said, sitting back down next to Andy.

"Mom, are you...okay?" Echo asked, raising her eyebrows.

"We actually have something to tell you guys. I'm pregnant." I said.

"Oh, cool." Davey said.

"Awesome." Nate said with a smile.

"So, dad was worrying about me having a condom and he didn't even us-"

"Stop Echo, your mom already used that one." Andy said.

"If it's another boy, I'm running away." She said, standing up and walking away. "We don't need another dad running around here. Can I just make a protest? No more mini dad's! No more boys! No mo-"

"Echo, just go upstairs." I sighed.
