Chapter 53

HAVEN'S POV

*One Week Later*

I got home from work and Echo was still at work. I shrugged and decided to make dinner before she came home, just to be nice. I walked into the kitchen and started to get work on dinner.

ECHO'S POV

I walked into our apartment after work to see Haven dousing the stove with a fire extinguisher.

"Haven! What on earth happened!"

"It's nothing, just a little grease fire." He said, putting out one last flame.

"Oh god, I can't even leave you home for an hour!"

"I was just trying to make dinner for you for when you got home." He sighed, sitting down in one of the kitchen chairs. I sighed and kissed his forehead.

"It was a nice gesture Haven. Thank you. I'm sure it would have been great. But, how about we order a pizza tonight." I said, grabbing my phone.

"I love you." He smiled.

"I love you too." I chuckled, dialing Papa John's.

HAVEN'S POV

Echo went to bed but I was still up. I can't believe we almost lost our apartment, our first home, because of me. I was still beating myself up over it, even though Echo has reassured me multiple times that it's okay.

I called my dad, figuring he was asleep by now.

"Hello?" My dad answered.

"Oh, I expected you to be asleep by now."

"Late night at the studio, what's up?"

"I just couldn't sleep." I sighed.

"Why not?"

"I get home from work about an hour before Echo, so I thought it would be nice to cook dinner for us for when she got home. But, he walked in to see me putting out a grease fire."

"Oh Haven." My dad sighed.

"Echo has told me multiple times that it's okay,but I just can't let it go."

"Was anyone hurt?"

"No."

"Was anything severely damaged?"

"No."

"Well, then everything is okay, Haven. Just try to get some sleep, you have work tomorrow. It's all apart of growing up Haven. You're only eighteen, you're still learning."

"Thanks dad." I said with a smile.

"No problem, now get to bed."

"Yes sir." I laughed. "I love you dad."

"I love you too Haven, goodnight."

"Goodnight." I said and hung up, walking into the bedroom and climbing into bed with Echo.

ASHLEY'S POV

"What was that about?" Andy asked as I walked back into the room.

"Oh, Haven was upset." I sighed. "He started a small grease fire at their apartment when he was trying to cook dinner."

"A FIRE!" Andy exclaimed. Oh boy.

"A small grease fire. No one was hurt and nothing was damaged. They are fine. It's out, they are safe. They're only eighteen Andy, they're still learning, they're going to make mistakes."

"Oh god." Andy groaned.
