Chapter 37

HAVEN'S POV

"Haven! Shouldn't you be in school?" Andy asked as my parents and I walked into Echo's room.

"Suspended." I said, sitting down in an empty chair.

"Suspended?" Andy asked.

"I fell asleep during class, and when my teacher woke me up, I told her to fuck off. I gfot sent to the principals office but he sent me back to class. I then got in a fight with some asshole that said Echo cut too deep and no one would miss her and here I am."

"Damn." Andy said.

*One Week Later*

"Haven, time for school." My dad said, shaking me awake.

"I don't wanna!" I whined.

"Too bad." He said and I groaned, rolling off of my bed and onto the floor. He sighed and left my room. I got dressed and walked downstairs, going out to the car so my dad could drive me.

ANDY'S POV

My parents had flown out so they were able to take care of Davey and Nate instead of Riot and Ashley having to do it. After Haven was dropped off at school, Riot and Ashley came up to the hospital to be with us.

I heard a groan and my head snapped over to Echo.

"Andy?" Niki asked.

"Shh." I said, not taking my eyes away from Echo. I heard another groan and got up, walking over to Echo.

"E-Echo?" I asked, grabbing her hand. She squeezed my hand slightly as her eyes slowly fluttered open. "Echo!" I exclaimed, a smile spreading across my face. Suddenly, she started choking from the tube down her throat. I pressed the nurse button and a few nurses ran in, causing me to step off to the side.

"Echo, we're going to need you to calm down." One of the nurses said. They took the tube out of her throat and did a few tests before bringing in the doctor.

"Well, Echo. It looks like you're going to make a full recovery. Can you talk?"

"Y-Yeah." She stuttered and tears started rolling down my face.

"Okay, I'll come back to check on your later." He said, smiling at us before walking out.

"ECHO!" Niki screamed, running up to our daughter and hugging her. "Oh my god, I was so scared." She said, kissing my cheek.

"I'll go get Haven." Ashley said, leaving the room. I walked to the other side of Echo and hugged her.

"Never scare us like that again."

"I won't." Echo smiled. "I love you dad." She said.

"I love you too." I said, wiping away my tears.

HAVEN'S POV

"Excuse me." The intercom in the classroom said.

"Yes?" The teacher asked.

"Can you send Haven Purdy down to the office, he'll be leaving."

"Okay." The teacher said and then looked at me. My heard started to beat faster as I gathered my stuff and stood up, walking out of the classroom. My dad picking me up could only mean two things. Echo's either dead or alive.

I got down to the office where my dad was standing.

"What happened?" I asked.

"She woke up." My eyes widened and I sprinted to the car, trying to open it but it was locked. My dad unlocked in and I climbed in. My dad started it up and started driving to the hospital.

"FASTER!" I screamed.

"Haven! Calm down! She's still going to be there in ten minutes." He said and I sighed, starting to bounce my leg up and down from anticipation.

"Haven! You're shaking the fucking car!"

"Sorry." I said.

We finally got to the hospital and I ran in, pass the front desk and down to Echo's room. I burst in to see Echo sitting up in her bed.

"ECHO!" I screamed, running up to her and hugging her tightly.

"I'm sorry, do I know you?"
