Chapter 60

ECHO'S POV

I was released the next day and was supposed to return the day after. Haven and I spent the whole day in the apartment and then went to sleep.

I was awoken by a banging sound and sat up, looking over at Haven to see his eyes open.

"Haven...did you hear that?" I asked.

"Yeah." He sighed, standing up and unplugging the lamp on the table next to his bed. "Stay here." He said, raising the lamp and slowly approaching our bedroom door.

He opened it and peeked his head out, slowly making his way out of the room. I quietly got up and peeked my head out of the room to get a look.

Haven approached the intruder and smacked them on the head with the lamp, causing them to fall to the ground.

"Who is it?" I asked, stepping out of the room.

"Its a...girl." Haven said. I walked closer and gasped.

"Is Juliet Simms! The one who caused my car crash last year and the one who kidnapped me."

"I thought you didn't know who kidnapped you."

"I lied, she told me if I told anyone, you and my family would get hurt."

"Well, I'll call 911 and keep an eye on her, you check the rest of the apartment." He said and I nodded. I checked the other rooms and walked back into the living room once it was all clear.

"The cops are on their way." Haven said.

"Good." I said, sitting on the couch.

Ten minutes later, the cops arrived. As soon as they walked in Juliet started to wake up.

"Wait, what's going on?" Juliet asked as she was handcuffed.

"You're under arrest for breaking and entering." The cop said as he read her rights. He took her down to the car while the other officer stayed to question us. I made sure to mention she had also been the one who kidnapped me. He thanked us and left, leaving Haven and I alone.

I locked the door, Haven and I walking back to the bedroom.

I layed in bed for an hour, not able to get back to sleep.

"Haven." I whispered, shaking him awake.

"What?"

"I can't get to sleep. I too freaked out." He wrapped his arm around my waist, pulling me close to his body.

"You're safe with me, I love you." He said, kissing my cheek.

"I love you too." I smiled.
