ECHO'S POV

I was sitting on the couch with my mom, just talking when my dad walked in.

"I'm surprised you're not covered in blood." My mom said, laughing.

"I didn't kill Haven." He mumbled.

"You should have." I said.

"I won't lie, I smacked him around a bit, but just enough to get him to talk."

"Let me guess, it was an accident? He's sorry? He didn't mean to? Pshh, yeah right. Fuck him."

"Echo, it was one time." My mom said.

"As far as I know!"

"Echo, he told you right away. He feels so guilty, this was definitely his first time. Look, I know how he feels, I cheated on your mom at the beginning of our relationship. It was an accident and I felt horrible afterwards. Except, I wasn't drunk, which means I remember every horrible detail. When you cheat on someone you love, you feel fucking horrible, and that's how Haven feels right now! Now go over and talk this out with him Echo. You don't want to throw away a three year relationship and a life long friendship, do you?"

"No." I sighed.

"Then go talk to him. I'm not saying you have to get back with him, but just talk."

"Okay." I said, standing up and walking to my car. I drove to the apartment and walked in. I looked and saw Haven laying on the couch. He looked so sad.

"Haven?"

"Echo?" He asked, sitting up. "Echo!" He exclaimed, getting up and running to me. He hugged me tightly and then dropped to his knees.

"Echo, I'm so so so so so so sorry! It was a total accident, I don't know who that girl was, I was hella drunk, I don't even remember talking to anybody. I love you so much and I never ever want to fucking loose you."

"Haven, I forgive you."

"What?"

"I forgive you-"

"Oh thank you, thank you, thank you!" He exclaimed, hugging me tightly. "I love you so fucking much." He said, going to kiss me but I put my hand up.

"I forgive you, but you're not off the hook. You still really hurt me Haven. Drunk or not, you cheated. You made the choice to drink, and now you have to pay the consequences. I think we just need a little time apart. I'll stay at my parents to clear my head and really think about this, okay?"

"Okay." I kissed his forehead and left.
