Chapter 44

DAVEY'S POV

I walked into my house after school, Isabella's hand intertwined with mine.

"I'm home." I called, closing the door behind us. We walked a little further into the house to see my mom on the couch, my dad on the floor in front of her, painting her stomach.

"What the fuck dad?"

"Davey!" My mom excalimed.

"Sorry."

"Shh, it's a masterpiece." My dad said. My mom looked down and groaned. "It's better than the Mona Lisa, I think I'm going to cry."

"I'm so sorry." I said to Isabella.

"Batman! Really Andy?" My mom asked.

"It's the only thing I know how to draw." He defended himself.

"I'm so sorry." I repeated.

"Well stop for a second," My mom said and then turned to face us. "Sorry about that. I'm Niki, Davey's mom. I'm assuming you're Isabella?" She asked, shaking Isabella's hand.

"Yes ma'am." She siled.

"Well, I'm Andy." My dad said, extending his hand for her to shake.

"It's very nice to meet both of you."

"We'll be in my room." I said, turning around and both of us starting to walk up the steps.

"Keep that door open!" My mom called.

"Got it!"
