Chapter 69
ECHO'S POV
"I'm home!" Haven announced.
"What took you so long? You got off work an h-oh my god!" I exclaimed as a miniature schnauzer puppy came running in behind him. It was white and grey, it was perfect.
"Surprise!" He laughed.
"Oh my god, it's so cute!" I exclaimed, picking him up. "What's his name?"
"You get to name him."
"How about Buster?"
"Perfect." He smiled.
"So, any reason for the dog?"
"I was thinking it would be great practice if we ever decide to have a kid."
"Good thinking." I smiled, holding the dog close to me. "I don't want to let go of him." I said and Haven laughed.
*The Next Day*
I went to my parent's house the next day after work to tell them about our new dog. I knocked on the door and my mom answered.
"Echo!" My mom exclaimed, hugging me.
"Hi." I said, walking into the house.
"So, what's up?"
"Haven got us a dog."
"He what?" My dad asked.
"It's the cutest thing ever. His name is Buster and he's a grey and white miniature schnauzer puppy." I said, showing them a picture.
"He's adorable!" My mom exclaimed.
"Should've got a cat." My dad said.
"That would defeat the purpose of getting the dog."
"Purpose?" My mom asked.
"Well, Haven was thinking it would be good practice for when we decide to have kids."
"What? You guys are eighteen, way too early to even be thinking about kids. I'm going to kill that kid." My dad said but I stopped him before he got to the door.
"Dad, we're almost nineteen, we're adults. I'm sure we can make pet or child decisions on our own."
"Andy, just go sit down and leave them alone." My mom sighed. He grumbled as he walked away.
"Anway, I should get home. Just dropped by to say hi."
"Okay, see you later, love you."
"Love you too." I said as I went back to my car.
