14: The One With The Help

CHERYL POV:

I was sitting in science class, when the teacher walks over. "Cheryl, can you help Toni? Bring her to the library." I get up and walk over to Toni. "Hey, I was told you need help." She looks up. "I'm fine." I've known her since we were 6. She always does this. "Toni let's go. I'm helping you." She closes her book and stands up.

"Cheryl, I didn't know." She closes the book. "What's wrong?" She looks up. "I can tell you anything and not worry about you telling anyone. Right?" I nod. "Always." She takes a deep breath. TONI POV:

Please be negative. I look at the test. Positive. "Shit!" I hit the stall. Luckily no one was here to ask if I was ok. How am I going to tell Jughead? How am I going to tell anyone? I'm not even in love with him

CHERYL POV:

"Who else knows?" I ask after she starts to calm down. "You. I found out a hour ago. That's why I was late, I was in the middle of a panic attack when the bell rang. I don't love him." She confesses. "Why?" She looks down. "Because I'm gay." She looks up. I pull her into a kiss, she's shocked at first but kisses me back. "I shouldn't have done that. I'm sorry." I get up but she stops me and pulls me into another kiss. "Stay." I sit down next to her.

It's been a week since Toni and I kissed and she told me she was pregnant. It's been kinda awkward. "Cheryl, can we talk." I look over at Toni and kiss her. Oh and when I said awkward I meant for Jughead when he sees us kiss, because Toni is my girlfriend now. "Seriously." She kisses back. I nod and we go into the library. We go here when ever we need privacy. It's always been like that. "Is everything ok?" She sits in front of me. "No not really." She pulls out a paper and hands it to me. I open it. "It's a sonogram." "Do you want to come over tonight my mom is going to be out. And my grandfather is not really home ever." She looks up at me. "Yeah. I'll be over at six." She shakes her head. "You can come over after school. My mom is really chill. And don't say we are not supposed to meet each others parents yet because I already met your mom." Ive known her for a while now and I've never met her mom. "Ok." I say. It will get me away from the devil.

"Your moms nice. Any mom is nicer than mine." I play with her blanket. She sits next to me. "Cheryl, I want to tell my mom and I want you to be there. For emotional support." I pull her into a kiss. "Ok, but we should study first." She shakes her head. "No, I can't focus." I rub her arms. "You need to calm down before we do anything." She takes a deep breath.

"Mom, I need to tell you something." Toni's hands starts sweating. We where sitting at dinner. Jodi looks at us and sits down. "Ok." I give Toni's hand a extra squeeze. "If it's about you being pregnant, I know. Your not good at hiding things. It's ok, your going to be ok." Toni lets go of the breath she was holding. "Let's eat." We eat dinner talk about random stuff. Once we are done Jodi leaves and we go upstairs. I pull her into a deep kiss.

TONI POV:
Since we've started dating we've had sex. In the bathroom at school, a random classroom, the library, her moms office and now my room. "What happened?" I ask, sitting down next to her. "I don't know. Is Fangs ok?" She ask. "I don't know, he's still in surgery." Toni's mom walks in. "I have good news and bad news. What do you want to hear first?" Toni looks down. "Bad." I take her hand and rub it. "The baby didn't make it. The good news is that Fangs is ok. Toni this is why I didn't want you joining the serpents."  Toni sits back trying to figure out the past hours. "I'm go to go check on Fangs." Jodi starts to walk out but stops. "It was a girl by the way." She walks out leaving the 2 of us in silence. My heart breaks for her. "Toni..." She looks at me. "Can you go? Just for a few minutes." I nod and get up. "Yeah I'll go to the cafeteria and get something to eat." I walk out, go to the cafeteria and see Jughead sitting there. He notice me. "How is she?" I sit in front of him. "Heart broken. The baby didn't make it." He looks down, he looks like he might cry. I've never seen him like this. "You know, I got to listen to her gush over you for years. Even before you started dating. She still loves you, just not in a romantic way." He looks up and take a bite out of his burger. "How's Fangs?" I shrug. "I don't really know. He's alive but I don't know how alive. What happened?" I ask because he watched both of them get shot. I get a cup of tea and sit back down. "Some ghoulies showed up at the Wyrm it was just me and Fangs there, I called her not knowing she was with you. I would have called Sweet Pea if she said so, once she got there Penny also showed up and shot them. I couldn't do anything about it she put the gun up to my head." He shakes his head, I've never seen him this shaken up about something. "I couldn't do anything, I'm sorry." He looks up at me. I sit there in shock. "Their both alive. I need to go back to Toni." I get up and grab some food. I walk out and go to Fangs room. "Hey. How you doing?" I ask. He shrugs. "I've been better. How are you? How's Jughead? I would ask about Toni but her mom just told me." He sits up. "I'm fine and Jughead is in shock."

I walk over to Toni's room luckily they are right next to each other. "Cheryl." She wipes her tears. "One minute we were down each other's throats, next minute your in a hospital bed. Grieving over a unborn child. I'm sorry this had to happen to you." I walk over to her and sit on the bed. "Cheryl, you kept me alive. You have for the past 10 years." She pulls me into a kiss. "I love you." She wipes the tears I didn't know I had. "I love you."
