CHERYL POV:

Toni has been locked in her trailer for a few days now. I don't know why she did this to herself. I'm giving her some space only because it's never good if you don't. I knock on the door of her trailer. "Toni it's me. I brought Pops!" I say through the door. "She's not home." I turn around and see Sweet Pea. "Where is she?" I ask quietly. "Maine. She went to see her mom." He smiles sadly. "What happened?" We both sit down on the steps. "She didn't tell you?" I shake my head. "Her grandfather died." My heart drops. "Oh god." I look down. "She probably didn't want to get you involved. She doesn't really know how to do the whole relationship thing. She doesn't know that she needs to tell you this stuff." He smiles softly. I notice he's eye balling the food. I pull Toni's burger out since she's not gonna eat it and hand it to Sweet Pea. "Thank you!" He scarfs it down. I eat mine and we talk for a while. "What happened?" I ask quietly. "Honestly I don't know. She didn't tell me. She just sat there and cried. Before I could call you she was already out the door, saying she was bringing him to Maine. I got to distracted and I thought you knew so I didn't call you." He says. "All I know is he died at the hospital." He whispers. I take a deep breath.

I knock on the door of the address Sweet Pea gave me. Toni opens the door. "Cher. What are you doing here?" She ask quietly. "I heard about your grandpa." She looks down. "Why didn't you tell me?" She shrugs. "Come in." She whispers. She closes the door behind me as I walk in. I drop my bags and hug her. "I'm sorry you have to go through this." She cries into me.

"Why are you here?" She ask quietly. "You're supposed to tell me when something like this happens." I whisper. She looks down. "I'm sorry. I was just focused on getting him here." She drinks her coffee. I take her hand. "It's ok. When's the funeral?" I ask quietly. "Tomorrow morning. I don't know if I'm ready." She whispers.

I take a deep breath trying to hold back my tears. I rub Toni's arm trying to comfort her as her grandfather gets buried. I've never seen her this way before. I honestly have no idea what to do! We walk back to the car with Toni's mom.

"Why did you stay in Riverdale?" I ask Toni quietly handing her some water. "I honestly hate it here. I don't hate my parents, I love them more than anything. My parents were moving the same time everything with the serpents happened. I decided to stay." She whispers wiping her tears. She looks out at the woods on the porch. "What are you gonna do now?" I ask quietly. She just shrugs. "I'm 18 now so I don't really need an adult. I'm probably going to pack his stuff and send it up here keep what I want, give my parents what they want. Graduate, freelance, hopefully settle down with you. Hopefully not freak you out by saying that." She looks at me and smiles. "I'm ok. I was thinking the same thing so great to know we're on the same page." I kiss her slowly. "Thank you for hunting me down. I hadn't even thought about you, I just didn't think anything through." I nod. "I know." I smile at her. "Are you sure you're going to be ok?" She ask quietly. "Yeah! I should be asking you the same thing." I tell her and she nods. "I think I'm ok." She whispers. "I love you. Ok?" She nods. "I love you too." She whispers. "Cheryl I don't know what I would have done if you hadn't come up here on your own."
