TONI POV:

Cheryl and I were lying in our tent, me and her decided to go on a camping trip, no Fangs or Sweet Pea to kill me with Cheryl's arrow. "I'm glad we did this, ever since JJ was born we haven't really had time to our selfs." I sit up and grab something from my backpack. "What's that?" She sits up. I open the box. "Will you marry me?" I ask, my hands are shaking. I had this whole speech prepared but I kinda just asked. she smiles wide and nods. "You just asked the dumbest question ever." She pulls me into a kiss. I cup her cheek and kiss back. We pull away and I place the ring on her finger. "I wanted our son to be there for our wedding and remember it." She reaches for her bag and pulls out a box. "Nana Rose gave this to me before she died, I was planning on giving it to you this weekend." I tilt my head and take the box. "She died when we were in high school, I had just joined the football team." She nods. "She told me when I was ready, that was when she gave it to me. Than we talked about children so I waited." I kiss her again. "I love you, more than anything, I wrote down this speech and didn't say any of it except 'will you marry me'." I pour my heart out to her. "I love you too. I never thought I would ever see the day that I'm happy again after Jason died, and than you came into my life and all that changed. Toni you are the most amazing person I've ever met, you are the best mom to JJ and you have patience with our son and me." I kiss her and she straddles me. I unzip her jacket, "wait, our you sure you want to do this?" Cheryl stops me as I try to unbutton her pants. "Yeah, It's not like we haven't before. And it's for you not me."

CHERYL POV:

I walk out of the tent throwing on a shirt luckily it's June so it's warm and didn't have to worry about freezing last night. I'm still kinda groggy. We weren't even up late. "Hey baby." Toni turns her head to look at me and continues cooking. "What time is it?" She looks at her watch. "7 ish." I roll my eyes and sits down at the picnic table. "Has Jason called or is do you think he's down his boyfriends throat?" I ask, she looks down and laughs. "He's 14 and has never even experienced a boner, He's called me 5 times today. Apparently he is sick, he called Veronica. Than she called me, he just has a cold he'll be fine for the weekend." She sits down grabbing a plate and bacon on it. "I'm sorry about last night." She speaks up. I take her hand. "Why, because you have no interest in sex? Toni we came up with a safe word for a reason." She looks down, something else is bothering her. "You ok?" She shakes her head. "Not really. I went on a run to clear my thoughts but it didn't really help." She down and plays with our hands. "What's wrong?" I ask, I softly grab her chin. I know something's up she's never up before me except when something is bothering her and she goes on a run. "I got a call from Jughead, FP is not well. I know he's not my dad or family but, he was the father I never had. When my parents died he was the one who found me. If it wasn't for him I would be dead or worse." My heart drop. "Toni... I don't know what to say." She bites her lip and shakes her head. "There's nothing you can say or do." She gets up and starts to walk away. "Toni." She looks back. "I want to be alone."  I get up and stop her. "Stop, last time something like this happened you tried to kill your self. I'm not leaving you alone. Your going to be ok." I pull her into a hug. "Your going to be ok. I reassure her. "Your going to be ok." She takes a deep breath. I can tell she's on the brink of a panic attack. I pull away. "How early were you up?" I ask cupping her cheeks. "5." I close my eyes. Of course, she's been up for hours. "Go lie down or something in the tent." She nods and goes lies down. I sit down in front of the tent, I look down at the ring. I look down at my phone and see text from Jason.

Jason: mo when do you and mom get home?

Me: tonight around 8 we have something to tell you

I look back at Toni who is lying down. "Your going to be ok." I rub her leg. She nods. Ever since she broke her shoulder she has had a hard time with the smallest things, yeah FP possibly dying is not small but still. It wasn't like she hurt her head, she was in a motorcycle accident. Now thinking about it, something probably did happen mentally. She won't even look at a bike. "Toni." I turn around to her. She hums and looks at me. "What if after the accident something mentally happened to you?" I ask, she sits up and looks at me. "It did, I got a concussion and I've been having a hard time focusing and coping with things and my anxiety is through the roof. Football didn't make any of this better. I was talking to my therapist before we left and we both agreed I should go on something to help me with getting through life." She lies back down. Something else is bothering her, I can tell. "Toni, there's something else." She sits up and sits closer to me. "The death if my parents is coming up soon." She looks down and plays with her hands. "They would be proud of who you've become." She smiles sadly. "Maybe not my dad. Like he would be cool with marrying you and having kids with you and football but the whole me joining the serpents maybe not. My mom just wanted me to be happy and if that meant joining a gang she wouldn't care."

I close the trunk. "Ready?" I ask, she shakes her head. "Not really. I love you." I rub her cheek. "I love you more than anyone. Except our son and my brother." I kiss her and get in the car, she slowly gets in and starts the car. She drives off. "Do you want to pick something up at Pops?" I ask looking at her, she nods. "Yeah." She keeps her eyes on the rode. "You ok?" She shakes her head. "When have I ever been 'ok'?" She ask. I decided not to ask anything else because I don't want to push it. "If you need to talk, I'll be there to listen." She takes my hand. I kiss her hand. "We already talked about what's been bothering me." She says and I know it's true. "I love you."
