TONI POV:
"CHERYL!" I yell out hoping she'll hear me, but she doesn't. "CHERYL!" I run closer. She hears me and turns around. "Toni." She sighs in relief. She pulls me into a hug. I cup her cheeks. "Are you ok?" I ask frantically as I make sure she's not hurt. "Y-yeah. Are you?" She ask quietly. I nod. "Yeah I was just worried about you." She kisses me slowly. Butterflies in my stomach. I slowly pull away and look her in the eyes. This is love, I didn't think I would ever truly feel love. But now that I have Cheryl right here, right now, I know how it truly feels to be in love. "Let's- let's get you home and comfortable." I whisper. She nods. We walk to my truck and get in. "What happened?" I ask quietly. "Penny. She beat me than left me there to die pretty much." I stop the truck. "How long?" I ask quietly. "How long were you out there for?" I ask starting to get pissed off. "3 days." My eyes widen. "How are you ok?!" I ask panicking. "We need to get you to the hospital!" I say panicking. "I know artery. I also know how to make a bow and arrow. I don't miss Topaz!" I nod and drive off. "Ok you're fine." I say to myself. We get back to my trailer. Neither of us move. "I love you Cher." I look at her. "Good, because I love you." She looks at me. "We should go inside." I whisper. She nods. "Yeah." We get out of the truck and go inside. "Let's get you cleaned up." I whisper, we go into the bathroom and I help her undress and get into the tub. I help clean her off. "Are you hungry?" I ask breaking the silence. "Not really." She looks me right in the eyes. "Do you want to try eating something?" I ask quietly. She shakes her head. "Ok but even if you're not hungry later I'm gonna make you eat you know that right?" She nods. "Yeah." She whispers. I look her right in the eyes. "You're safe now." I cup her cheek. "Why do you love me?" She ask quietly. "Cheryl..." I whisper. "Seriously. I'm a mess. I've never been loved." She looks down. "Because, you're an amazing girl. Who deserves love, who is not a mess." I tell her honestly. "You're the best thing to happen to me, Cher. You need to stop doubting that." I take her hand.
I wake up to Cheryl screaming. "Cheryl!" I sit up. "What's wrong?" I ask. I kinda know but still, it's Cheryl so I could be wrong. I rap my arm around her and she just cries into me. "Cheryl." I whisper. The door to my room slowly opens and my grandpa pops his head in. "Is everything ok?" He ask quietly. I nod. "Yeah, nothing you have to worry about." He nods. "Ok, come get me if you need anything. Ok Ann?" I nod. Only person that's allowed to call me that. "Do you know what might make you feel better?" I ask quietly. "I'm not in the mood for that." She whispers. "No! Not- no. Pops? I know it's late." She sits up and wipes her tears. "Well, what time is it?" She ask quietly. I grab my phone. "Ok maybe it's not late." I look at her. "It's like 7." I whisper. "Yeah let's go." We get up and get dressed. We walk out I tell my grandpa where we're going and he just tells us to be safe, we go to Pops and order out food. "Why did you think it was later than it was?" Cheryl breaks the silence. "Well my rooms really dark obviously you saw my room." I smile awkwardly. "Why do you keep your room that dark?" She ask quietly. "Anxiety." I whisper. "It calms me down and keeps me calm." I confess. I don't talk about my anxiety or anything along those lines with Cheryl because I know she's going through worse. She takes my hand. "It's fine. It's not bad." I shake it off. "Really?" She looks me in the eyes. "No, it's actually really bad. I just know what I feel you probably feel 10x worse." I say frantically. "How do you know?" She ask quietly. "I don't." I whisper. "It's ok to talk to be about this. It actually makes me feel a lot better. Because it means we're open and honest." She makes me look at her. "You're right." I nod. "Also, Ann?" She smiles. I lie my head on the table. "Don't call me that!" I sit up. "Only my grandpa can call me that! Everyone else calls me Toni." I say kinda mad that she would even think about bringing that up. "Ok, I won't call or talk about that again." She smiles. "I love you." I whisper. "I love you more." She whispers. "What was that dream about?" I ask knowing she doesn't want talk about it. We talked about what happened with Penny last night before we went go bed. "Nothing." She looks down. "Cheryl be honest with me." I whisper. She doesn't say anything. "Cheryl." I take her hand. "What happened?" She looks up. "It's ok." I remind her. "I can't." She whispers. "When you're ready." I tell her. Pops comes over with food. "Thank you Pop." He walks away as we eat in silence. Once we're done, I pay and we go to my trailer. I sit on my bed and take Cheryl's hand and pull her closer. "Hey, everything you're going through right now. You're going to get through and you're going to be ok." She looks down. "What was that dream about?" I ask quietly. I hold her cheek. "Please tell me." I whisper. "The Sisters." I whispers with tears in her eyes. My heart drops. "Cheryl." I stand up and hug her. "You can't unsee what I've seen." She whispers. "I know."
It's been a few years and I'm going to propose to Cheryl. Am I nervous? Hell yeah. But I know she'll say yes. Because we've talked about this, we might as well be married we just haven't make it official. I turn around and look at Veronica. She fixes my bow tie. "Are you sure this isn't outrageous?" I ask quietly. "She tells me everyday about how she can't wait till the day she gets to marry you." She buttons up my jacket. "Got the ring?" I nod. She pats my shoulder. I take a deep breath and walk out of the house. I go to my car and drive off. I get to her house. I knock on the door. "Ready?" I ask nervously. "Yeah. You ok?" I nod. "Yeah I've just had a long day." I whisper. I help her into the car. I take a deep breath. We go to a restaurant and eat. Nothing happened just the closer we get me proposing the more I want to throw up. We go to the part of SweetWater we go to all the time. "C-Cheryl?" She turns around. "Can I ask you something?" I ask nervously. "Cheryl you're the love of my life and I don't know what I would do without you. I can't live without you and I don't know what I would do if I lost you. I just wanted to know if you would marry me?" I ask very nervously. She smiles. "Of course." She whispers. "Oh, the ring." She laughs. I pull out the ring and place it on her finger. "I love you, more than anything."
