TONI POV:
"Toni?" I turn around from closing the door. I place my helmet on the floor, run over to Cheryl and hug her. "What- where you?" She ask quietly. I cup her cheeks. "I thought you were gone." She whispers. "I had to hide from my parents and I couldn't tell you because I didn't want you going after me or holding me back." I tell her. "Toni." She looks up at me. "I'm sorry." I whisper. "I'm so so sorry I couldn't be there for you." I tell her quietly. "Where were you?" She ask quietly. "Vancouver." She pulls me into a hug. "Please don't leave me again." She cries. I hold back tears. "I'm here to stay. Where's Jason?" I ask quietly pulling away. "Asleep, he doesn't know what happened. I told him you were on a business trip." I nod. "He's 15." I whisper and go upstairs. I knock on his door. "Bud." He turns around from his desk. "Where have you been?" He stands up. "I told you." I whisper so Cheryl can't hear. "I've had to sit here for 5 years and pretend like I don't know where you are. Mom!" He runs out. "Jason!" Cheryl looks at us. "What's going on?" I look down at the floor at he tells Cheryl everything. "Toni, you told him but you wouldn't tell me." She walks over to me. I look away. "Toni." I refuse to look at her. "Toni." She makes me look at her. "I'm sorry. I couldn't tell you." I whisper. "But you could tell our son!" She yells. "Jason give us a minute." He goes upstairs. "Cheryl you're the love of my life, I-I couldn't tell you. I told Jason because the night I left because he was up and he wouldn't let me leave without him knowing. I couldn't tell you for your safety!" I say frustrated. "I did all of this for you!" I yell. I shake my head. "Maybe I shouldn't have come back home." I whisper walking to the door. "Cheryl, I did this for you. To keep you safe and get my parents away from you." Cheryl grabs my arm. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have yelled at you." She whispers. "I'm just mad that you left with no trace of where you were." I kiss her for the first time in 5 years. "I can't live without you Cheryl." I whisper. "Than why did you leave?" She ask quietly. "I already told you." I whisper.
"How is Jason?" I ask quietly. "I remember we were having some issues before I left." I sit up. "Better now that he's getting the help that he's needed. They finally diagnosed him with autism." She rubs my cheek. "How- how is that going?" I ask quietly. "Good! He has an aid with him all day at school and I help him outside of school." She says quietly. "He doesn't have meltdowns everyday that's good." The door quickly opens. "Jason knock." Cheryl covers herself. "I heard my name." We both laugh. "What really!" We both shake our heads.
