"Moms I need to tell you something." Matthew Cheryl and Toni's 15 year old son says sitting down at the dinner table. "Ok." Toni says looking at her wife who just shrugs. "I'm bi." Matthew rubs his hands over his thighs. He doesn't know why he's so nervous. The table is silent until Cheryl breaks it. "What did you need to tell us?" Matthew takes a deep breath. Cheryl takes her sons hand. "Your still my son. Nothing will change that." Matthew looks down. Toni gets up slowly and walks around the dinning room. "Toni." Toni walks out and slams the door to her and Cheryl's room. "I'm going to talk to her. I don't know what her problem is." Cheryl gets up and goes the their room. "Toni. What the hell was that?" Cheryl ask sitting me to her wife of 10 years. Toni takes a deep breath. "The last thing I want is for him to go through what you and I went through." Cheryl looks at her confused. "We are not sending him back to The Sisters and we're definitely not kicking him out." Toni shakes her head and stands up. "No I mean at school and through life. I will love and support him until the day I die. I don't want something happened to him." She paces around the room. When Toni walks close to Cheryl, the red haired girl stands up and takes her hand. "He gets picked on enough for being the scrawny emo kid." Cheryl cups her cheeks. "Talk to him. I remember when we brought him home you told him you would support him through anything, do that." Toni kisses her wife and walks out. She goes downstairs. "Matt." She sits down in front of her son. "I don't want you getting hurt. Remember when we brought you home I told you that I would support you and it's true. I didn't mean to walk out like that, I came out when I was your age and my uncle's immediate response was to kick me out. When mom and I started dating, her mom sent her to conversion therapy at The Sisters. I don't know how that's going to help you." Toni looks down. "I get what your trying to say mom." It hasn't been till recently that he started calling either of them mom, it gets confusing sometimes but they usually know who he's referring to.

3 MONTHS LATER

"Mom! I'm home!" Matthew walks into office. He looks at Cheryl who upset, he sits down in a chair. "Mom, what's wrong?" He ask quietly. "Your mom and I are getting a divorce." She takes off her glasses and looks at her son who doesn't really know what to do. "The fighting has gotten worse." Matt stands up and storms out pissed off at the world. It has to be his fault because ever since he came out they have fought to many times to count. He goes into his room and doesn't come out for most of the weekend only for food and to use the bathroom.

"Everything ok? You didn't answer any of my text after we talked on Friday." Maya Andrews, Veronica and Archie's kid ask as Matt slams his locker. Not in frustration, his locker just sucks. "Yeah, just going through some stuff at home." The past few weeks the two of them have been finally letting their feelings for each other be present. "Like what?" The Andrews girl ask as they walk out of school. "My moms are having hopefully a rough patch in their marriage." They slowly walk to Pops. "Fighting?" She ask quietly. "Yeah, and a possible divorce." Maya stops. Matthew quickly realizes his girlfriend isn't next to him and stops. "Matt, that's not just some stuff going on at home. That's not good." The walk into Pops and see Veronica and Cheryl talking. "Hey buddy." Matthew looks down and tries to sit down away from his mom but Maya stops him. "Matthew, listen to me." Maya and Veronica walk away giving them privacy. "I'm sorry you have go through this. What are you most worried about?" Matthew takes a deep breath and plays with his hand. "I don't want to go from house to house once a week. But I also want to see you both." He sits next to Cheryl not looking at his mom. "I told Maya to brag you here. You will have to choose between us. Mom is going to stay here while I go to Connecticut with my mom. If you stay here you'll be living on the Southside and if you go with me you will have to start all over, but you'll be with one of us during the summer and when school starts you'll go back to where you choose." Matthew looks at her confused. "How long have you had this planned?" He ask yelling almost. Cheryl takes a deep breath. "About a month, I'm not going to buy you anything big or what you want to make you stay with me and I know mom won't so just pick so we can send in the papers." Cheryl gets up from the booth. "You have a week. I honestly suggest staying with mom, she needs someone to keep her on her feel." She starts to walk away. "Mom." Matt stops her. "What made you decide you guys need a divorce?" He ask quietly. "I'll explain when you get home. Enjoy your date." She walks out and Maya sits next to him with a chocolate milkshake and a burger. "Did you know, Before I told you?" She shakes her head. "No, she just told me to send you here." She takes her boyfriends hands. "I'm sorry this is all happened." Her hands sweat. Should she do it? "Also." She looks down. "What?" She pulls Matthew into a kiss. They have only kissed once before this. "That's it?" Matt smiles for the first time since they first kiss on Friday. "Yeah. Dork."
