TONI POV:

"Hey Cher it's me obviously you're getting this from my phone, ahh... I got a call from the nurse saying he wasn't feeling well and I just picked him up. I figured you should know. I don't know if they called you or not. Call or text me when you get this, love you." I hang up and help get Jason in the car. "My head hurts." He whispers. "I know. Do you feel nauseous?" I ask quietly. He shakes his head. "Ok. If you do tell me." He nods. I feel his forehead and it's burning. "Let's get you home." I close his door and get in front. I drive off and we head home. Unfortunately it's a long ride because Cheryl didn't want Jason in pubic schools so we had to become those parents where our kid goes to a fancy private school with a bunch of rich people. The one thing I never thought I would see. It's not like we barely have to money to pay or it! Cheryl and I have more than enough money for this but I didn't mind going to public school. And before you ask, yes I had a say in the future of our child I thought it was a great idea but I wouldn't have been disappointed if he was in public school. "Jason?" He looks at me. "Yeah?" I smile. "Don't become a snobby rich kid." He nods. "They are annoying so I won't." He's 7, how the hell is there snobby rich kids? "You're 7." He nods. "I know." About 20 minutes later we get home and Jason goes straight up to his room. "Get into something more comfortable!" I yell. I sigh and get some medicine for him. I walk upstairs and check on him. "You ok bud?" He nods. "Ok."

"How's he doing?" Cheryl ask leaning on the doorframe of Jason's room. "Better, he just fell asleep." She nods. "Why did you get the call and not me?" She ask. I shrug. "I'm first on his emergency contacts, since you are down as his father because every kid has a mom and dad." I say the last part sarcastically. "Also you work from home so it is easier for you to go a grab him if needed." She smiles. "Why didn't you answer?" I ask quietly. "Oh! My phone died. I told you this." I nod. "I know I just wanted to embarrass you again." She smiles. "You're weird." I stand up and kiss her. "Ew!" We look at see Jason. "Hey bud!" I smile. "You feeling ok?" I ask quietly. He shrugs. "My stomach hurts." I quickly grab the bucket as he turns to throw up. "This is why I insisted on getting a bucket." He nods and continues to throw up. I look at Cheryl. "You've been with him all day, I'll watch him." She whispers. I nod. I go into the bathroom than Cheryl and I's room. I just watch Tv until Cheryl walks into the bedroom and lies down on the bed. "You ok?" I ask quietly noticing she's not. "No. Jason's asleep and I'm worried there's something else going on with him." She whispers. "If he's feeling the same and not getting any better in the next few days than we'll bring him to a doctor." She shakes her head. "No! I mean emotionally. I don't think he's doing well at school. And yes he's been throwing up for an hour on and off." She explains. "Like what?" I ask. "Notice how he doesn't really talk about his friends. He only talks about stuff that happens around him not about his friends." I sit up. "Damn. You're right." I whisper. "This is why I didn't want him at a private school!" I say. "Toni, he needs it though. We both know he has more issues than his doctor wants to admit." I take a deep breath. "So why aren't we getting him the help? He's in a private school, they won't come to us they'll kick him out!" I say slightly frustrated. "I don't want him labeled." She whispers. "So what? If he's not labeled than he goes through his whole life thinking something is seriously wrong with him! Trust me, I watched the same thing happened to my brother!" I almost yell. "So what if people make fun of him for having dyslexia or something? It sucks but we just have to let him know that we have his back and he'll be ok!" She nods. "You're right." She whispers. "He's gonna hate it at first but it's ok." I remind him. "He's going to school at a place where they can help him, if something is actually going on they will transfer him and put him with kids that have the same problems."

"What do I have the pleasure of helping you two with today?" Jason's teacher ask. "We are worried that Jason might be struggling in school socially and learning." She nods. "Yeah, I was planning on calling you about that." She says fixing her papers. You can tell she's new. "He's not making friends at all. I was giving it some time but nothing has changed. And he's falling behind and it's more than just not getting the material, I've tried teaching him in all the ways I can and I don't think there is anything I can do. So we were thinking about putting him in some intervention classes and seeing how it goes." She explains. I look at Cheryl and she nods. "That actually works now I wish we hadn't driven 30 minutes for this." I say quietly. "Well, there's also the social part we were thinking about putting him in a group of kids that he might have some stuff in common with the only problem is, I don't know what he's into." She tells us. We spend the next 20 minutes explaining everything he likes. "Is he being like visibly bullied?" Cheryl ask concerned. "No. But kids just don't talk to him and he doesn't go out of his way to talk to other kids." I take a deep breath. "Is he gonna be bullied for being in any programs?" I ask quietly. "No, the kids in this class are really nice." I take Cheryl's hand. "It's gonna be ok." I whisper. "Yeah you're right." She nods. "How's he feeling?" Jason's teacher ask quietly. "Good! He just still have a fever. But he's feeling a lot better our dog Lucy has been by his side the whole time." I smile. "Why did you name your dog Lucy?" I think for a second. "We don't know, Jason wanted to name her that." I shrug.

"Hey Jason, how you feeling?" I ask rubbing his back. He shrugs. I look at Veronica who's been watching him. "He mostly slept." She whispers. I nod. "Thanks for watching him." Cheryl says walking into his room. "I think we can take it from here." Veronica smiles. "I promised him Pops because I know he doesn't like being home without one of you. He started having a panic attack so I promised him Pops." She says awkwardly. "Ok. I'll go pick some up later. Ok bud?" He nods. Veronica says her goodbyes and leaves. "Where did you guys go?" Jason ask quietly. "We had to talk to your teacher about how you're doing." He nods. "And?" I shrug. "We'll talk about this when you're feeling better." I move hair out of his face. "Ok." He whispers.

Cheryl walks into the kitchen. "How the hell are we gonna explain all of this to him?" She ask. "What? That he's gonna be put into classes that will actually help him? We'll explain it to him and if he has questions we'll try our best to answer them." I explain. She nods. "Come here." I pull her into a hug. "Everything is going to ok." I whisper to her. "Even if at first everything seems scary and goes to hell. We'll be ok and figure this out." She nods. "You're right." She smiles. I cup her cheek and kiss her. "Everything is gonna be ok." She nods. "Let go talk to him." I whisper. We go upstairs and have a long talk with Jason. "When will this start?" Jason ask quietly. "We're not sure, but soon." I answer. He nods. "Anything else?" He shakes his head. "If you have questions come talk to one of us." He nods. "Ok." He smiles. "When am I getting Pops?" He ask. "I thought you didn't have any questions." I joke. He smiles. "We'll get you some for dinner." Cheryl whispers. I kiss his forehead. "Get some rest." I whisper to him. "I've gotten a lot of rest." I nod. "And you're gonna get more!"
