CHERYL POV:

Oh my god! I look at the test. "Well?" Toni ask knocking on the door. I walk out. "I'm pregnant." She smiles. "We're not telling anyone until we know for sure." I say quietly. "Not after last time." She nods and pulls me into a kiss. "Especially because if it happens once it'll happen again." I remind her. She looks down sadly. "It wasn't your fault." I whisper, I move my hand up to her cheek. "Yes it was." She says holding back tears. "Toni, you can't raise kids on your own. You had to. It's not your fault that I was having complications." I tell her. "We shouldn't think about what can go wrong right now, I'm pregnant and that's what matters." I tell her. "I want a son." She whispers. "To bad I want a daughter. But neither of us have a say.

"Cheryl, I just got a call from the adoption agency. They have a kid, who just lost his parents and they think we should take him in. Even if it's just for a few months." Toni walks into my office. I forgot we decided to look into adoption. "I said we will call back if we decide to take him in." She says calmly. "What's the kids name?" I ask. "Joshua O'conner. He's 7, his parents died. I'll send you the information." I take off my glasses. "Let's do it." Toni looks shocked at my comment. "What?" She ask shocked. "Let's do it." I stand up and walk over to her. "Wait! Are you sure? We just found out you're pregnant." She places her hand on my stomach. "Maybe it's a sign." I whisper. "I'll send you the information." She kisses my cheek and walks away.

"This is Cheryl and Toni, they are going to take care of you for a while." We all stare at each other for a minute. "I'm Josh." He breaks the silence. The woman that brought him here, leaves slowly. "I'm Cheryl and this is my wife Toni." His eyes widen. "But you're both girls." He says quietly. "It's a long story." Toni says bending down to his level. He shrugs it off. "Ok." He lets himself in. "Come in." Toni smiles. I shut the door. "Do you want to see your room?" I ask awkwardly. "Yeah." He jumps up excitedly. "Come on. It's upstairs." We go upstairs. "Which one is mine?" He turns to me. "Right down there." I point to Jason's old room. He runs into it. "It's so big!" He says excitedly. "That's what she said." Toni whispers. I hit her lightly. "What?" She looks like She didn't say anything. "That's not what I said last night." She looks down and clears her throat. "Obviously because neither of us have a-." I stop her. "I get it." She smiles.

TONI POV:

"My mom used to read me a story before I went to bed." Josh whispers. "Well, we don't have any stories." I say sitting on his bed. "But, I can tell you one." I suggest. He nods. "Well, there was this girl, she never had the best life. Kinda like you, her parents died when she was younger. When she got older, she met someone who made all her problems go away. Now they have a kid and are expecting another one." I smile sadly. "Is that you and Sharon?" I laugh. "It's Cheryl." He looks down. "Ch-Cheryl?" He ask quietly. "Yes. And do you remember my name?" I ask quietly. "Toni." I smile. "And my name is Josh!" I nods. "Yes." Rub his hair. "Go to sleep." I kiss the top of his head and get up. "Do you want the door open or closed?" I ask. "Open, can you leave your door open? I don't know which room is yours." He ask quietly. "Yeah." I turn off the lights. "Do you want the hallway lights on?" He nods. I walk out and turn on the lights. I go into Cheryl and I's room. "I know you hate this, but he wants the door open." I say quietly. She takes a deep breath. "It's his first night here." I whisper. I lie down next to her. "I love you." She whispers. "I love you and hopefully this baby. That we're going to have and it's going to be amazing."
