TONI POV:
I walked into the house after a long night of drinking all my problems away. "Cher! I'm hom-." Cheryl covers my mouth. "The kids are asleep and you're drunk." She whispers disappointed in me. "I'm sorry. It's been a long week and I just needed to relax." I whisper. "Please say you didn't drive." I shake my head. "Sweet Pea drove me home. I called him because I knew you were home with the kids." I whisper. "Let's get you upstairs." She helps me get upstairs. I lie on the bed. She gets my shoes off and jacket. "Cheryl. I'm sorry." I whisper to her. "What happened?" She ask sitting on the bed. "I got fired." She looks down. "When?" I look at my watch. "A few hours ago." I whisper. She cups my cheek. "I already picked up some shifts at the wyrm." I whisper. "Can we talk about this in the morning?" I nod. She lies next to me. "Yeah." I kiss her cheek.
I wake up with a splitting headache. I turn over and there is Advil and water. I take the Advil and take a long hot shower. I walk out and Cheryl is sitting at the edge of the bed. I grab some clothes. "Rose is at preschool and Thomas is on the bus." I nod. "I'm sorry about last night." I whisper. "It's ok. Honestly, I would probably do the same thing." She whispers. I walk over to her. "I'm gonna find a job. I promise." She smiles. "It's ok if you don't. I have a job that pays well." She whispers. "I need something to do that's the thing. If I'm left to my own devices it's never good. We both remember high school." She looks down. "You were also not taking your medication. Which you need to do right now." She whisper as my hands start to get sweaty. "Yeah I'm gonna go do that." I smile. I walk into the bathroom take my medication. I walk out. "Thank you." I whisper. "For what?" Cheryl ask quietly. "For being my wife. For helping me through hell. For having 2 amazing kids."
