Shawnie's POV

The next day, Chris and I chilled. We slept in, but he was leaving today, and I was a little sad. I don't know if I can do this. His leaving and being gone for weeks at a time isn't the kind of thing I want to get myself into. We have our little two-week thing going on, but if we're in a relationship, there's going to be more pressure to see each other, way more than that.

The last week has been so stressful, that's why I've been trying to keep Chris at a certain distance. I don't want to get him involved in anything that's going on in my life right now. My ex, Marcel, has been calling and texting me, and I'm not gonna lie, we've been conversing back and forth. I don't have any plans to get back with him, but we have been talking, and it's just a very confusing time for me right now. Getting into a relationship with Chris isn't going to make my situation any better.

So now Chris is here, and we're officially together. I don't know how all of this is going to play out, but I'm going to try to stay positive. I'm going to do my best and give this 100%. If Chris is serious, I see this going well for us; I don't see this going well for Marcel and me. He's going to flip when he hears the news, but Chris really has been helping me through this, and it's been long enough; it's time for me to try to move on and be happy, and Chris is a start. A huge start. A great start!!

I decided to take Chris to downtown Chicago so we could spend the last couple of hours we have left together. We spent the day shopping on Michigan Ave. and just enjoying each other's company.

It was Saturday, so downtown was very crowded. All types of people were out. Chris didn't have his security, so it was still a lot to maneuver. Chris stopped to take many pictures with fans. It was a little annoying, but I understand. He's a huge celebrity, and people were happy to see him out. This is one thing I really needed to get used to: sharing him with his fans. Chris and I have been behind closed doors for so long that I forgot about this part of his life.

Chris had never been to the original House of Blues in Chicago, so we went there to eat. It was a relief when we got into the building; their security kept the fans out.

While we were sitting in the restaurant, my phone kept going off. It really had been going off all day, but I was about to hide it because we were walking around, but now we're at the table, and it's hard to ignore. Of course, it was Marcel. He had been calling, texting, and just acting crazy. After my phone kept dinging, I tried to put it on vibrate, but it still kept going off, and Chris kept looking at me wildly. I could tell it was bothering him, and he didn't say anything at first, but I guess he finally had enough.

"Who the hell is blowing up your phone like that?" He asks

"It's Marcel, he won't stop. He's been doing this for almost 2 weeks straight." I say irritated.

"Why don't you just change your number?"

"Work. All my clients have my phone number, and I can't just change it." I say

"Well, we bout to go get you another phone. That could be your work number. I'm about to get you another phone. This new one can be your personal phone, because I'm not fucking with that. I'll kill that mothafucka." He says

"I'll get another phone, you don't have to do it."

"No, I'm doing it because I'm going to make sure it's done." He says

"You don't trust me?"

"No, I'm not saying I don't trust you. I wanna make sure this is done and that his number is blocked on both phones. If you have any other issues, let me know, and I will handle them. From now on, don't talk to him." He says with a serious face.
