Shawnie's POV

The car ride back to his house was silent. He didn't say anything about the fight; he acted like everything was okay, so I had no choice but to go along with it. I don't know these people or the dynamics of their relationships, so who am I to challenge them? I trust Chris and his judgement... to a certain extent.

I've been trying to be more open and honest with myself, with this whole Chris situation. I can't deny my feelings for him, although I've tried. So, instead of fighting it, I'm trying to embrace them. I know I like to stay in my bubble, but I'm going to stop holding back. Chris seems into this for real, and there's no need for me to keep pushing him away. I'm going to be more present and available to and for him, from now on.

Once we got to the house, he pulled his car into the garage, opened my door so I could get out, went inside, and disappeared. I went upstairs, showered, took off my makeup, and got into my pajamas. It had been 45 minutes, and he still hadn't come up to his room. I was a little concerned, but I knew he was good, probably down in his studio. I just grabbed my MacBook, got in bed, and started answering some emails. It wasn't even 10 minutes later, and Chris came walking in.

"Oh hell nah. Babe, put the computer away." Chris says, throwing up his hands. He hates it when I work while I'm with him, but he wasn't here, so he should be okay with it.

"Well, you left me alone, I thought I'd get some work done."

He walks over to the bed and takes my MacBook, "I told you, I don't want you working while you're spending time with me. We discussed you working an hour out of the day while you're here, and I know you got that this morning after I left." He says

"I did. I'm sorry." I say with a smile.

He sets my MacBook on his nightstand and lies in bed next to me, "Don't be sorry." He kisses me on my forehead, then pulls me into him and wraps his arms around me, "I wanted to show you something I've been working on."

"What is it?" I say, and he shows me his phone.

"Song lyrics!" I take his phone and start to read them.

"You like it?"

"I guess, yeah. I mean, I can't hear the song because I'm just reading the lyrics, but I like it."

"I'm going to record it with this Indonesian singer, Agnez Mo," he says

"Never heard of her."

"She's cool. There's another one." He pulls up another one on his phone. "What do you think about this one?"

I read the lyrics.

"I like this one too."

"You do, for real?" He asks

"Yes," I say, nodding my head, giving him a serious face.

"It's not done yet.... I asked because I wrote them about you." He says, seemingly nervous.

"Really?" I say in shock.

"Yeah. I've been writing a lot about you lately. The album is already finished, but I was thinking about doing a Christmas release with some extra songs; they will probably get out on that one." He explains

"They?"

"Yes. You've inspired me."

"What?" I laugh in disbelief, "I don't believe you."

"I'm serious. I'm going to the studio to record next week, Agnez and I."

"Wow!" I say shocked. I can't believe he wrote a song about me and not just one, but two.
