champagnepapi What we understand isn't for everyone else to understand, not even your man. 🤞🏽 We experienced something beautiful, too bad we couldn't make it last. You may not be with me right now, but you're always with me. ❤️

Shawnie's POV

The next day, I was woken by a ding from my phone, alerting me to a notification. I looked down, and Chris was lying on my stomach, with his arms around me. I would say he's acting like I'm pregnant already, but this actually isn't anything new; we used to sleep like this all the time.

"Babe!" I say, rubbing his head, trying to wake him up.

"Hmmm?"

"I have to pee." I laugh a little.

"Just hold it. I'm comfortable." He says not moving.

I laugh, "Babe!"

He makes a sound out of irritation, "Coooooommmmeeeee ooooooon, Babe!" He rolls over onto his side of the bed.

I get out of bed and go into the bathroom. I finish my morning routine and come back out a few minutes later. He was sitting up in bed, on his phone.

"Oh, you're up?"

"Yeah." He says, putting an AirPod in his ear.

I don't say anything; I figured he was just upset because I woke him up. I grab my MacBook and climb back in bed. I start checking e-mails. Greyson, the manager at my old office, sent me a few client inquiries. He's the best. I resigned from his office, and he is still sending me inquiries.

"I'm going to have to take a trip to Chicago soon. I have a few court dates." I say to Chris.

He nods, but he isn't paying attention to me. He's really mad at me. I laugh a little because that's the mean-ass Chris I know and love.

I go back to my emails. A couple of minutes later, he taps my arm.

"He sent it back."

"The song?"

"Yeah, he did two verses and a hook. One at the top and at the bottom. Listen." He starts the song.

He plays the song for me, and I actually like it. The lyrics are questionable, but I like them. When Chris finishes it, it's going to be a hit.

"Do you like it?" I ask

"I actually do. That bitch is trying to take some jabs, but yeah. It's cool."

"I noticed the lyrics too. He called me Mami all the time. He also called me crazy and said that he liked it."

"Yeah, I like that shit too." He laughs, kisses me on the lips, "But you're mine. All he can do is remember the old times."
