Shawnie's POV

After Chris left, Drake and I went into my office and sat down. I wasn't supposed to meet with him, I was supposed to meet with his team, so needless to say, I was a little irritated again. Why does he keep doing this? It's starting to get annoying. I'm expecting a real meeting is about to happen and he just cancels it. I mean, I'm getting paid for it anyway but no business is getting handled. Does he even really want me on the team? It's like he doesn't mind paying for me to do nothing for him.

"You might want to fix your hair a little." He says sitting in front of my desk, smirking at me.

I look into my reflection on my computer and fix my hair. This is kind of embarrassing. But it was kind of worth it too. It can't happen again though. It's so unprofessional, maybe it was a good thing that it was Drake instead of his team.

"So, what happened? It's just you...again." I flash a fake smile.

"Yep, it's just me." He says smiling.

"Why?"

"I told them not to come. I wanted to spend some time alone with you, get to know you better." He says and I'm just like this guy can't be serious.

I sigh, "Drake—."

He cuts me off, "It's Aubrey, remember?" He says correcting me.

"Aubrey, what exactly are you trying to do here?" I ask

"I just want to get to know you. I told you that the last time we were together. I got your number from Billy but as you can see, I didn't use it. You told me not to contact you unless it was business. So I had Billy set up another meeting." He says and I just shake my head. "I didn't expect to walk in on you and your little boyfriend having sex, but I can look past that." He says with a smirk.

"I apologize for that." I say somewhat uncomfortably.

"No need to apologize. You'll be mine soon and everyone has a past." He smiles

"I will not be yours. Aubrey, you do realize, I'm in a serious relationship with Chris, right?" I ask seriously.

"You won't be for long. He has all these different stories in the media, with all these different women. I know what type a girl you are and you're not gonna stay with someone like that for too much longer. You're already fed up. I saw the video of you guys arguing in his car. It won't be long." He says as if he knows what he's talking about. He doesn't know anything about me, or my relationship with Chris.

"Well since you know everything, you should know that I'm not the type of girl to just give up on my relationship. So even if Chris and I broke up, I wouldn't just get into another relationship with someone new." I say with a slight attitude.

He nods his head up and down, "Yes, I peeped that. Believe me, I know what I'm dealing with and I'm not looking to get into a relationship right now either. I said I just want to get to know you, as a friend." He says.

"You guys don't get along and if he isn't friends with you, I can't be friends with you either. You know how this works."

"I know exactly how this works. And I'm gonna play my part. I'll wait, because he's going to fuck up and I'm gonna be right there when he does and you remember I said that, mark my words." He smiles and winks at me.

"I wouldn't be so certain."

"You'll see. He's messed up every relationship he's ever had. He can't keep you, he doesn't know how. He is incapable of being in a long-term relationship." He says

"Well, if that happens, I'll deal with it and that's my business. So don't worry about it."

He throws his hands up, "Okay, I'll chill. I'm just saying, know your worth. You know what you deserve and you shouldn't receive anything less."
