Aubrey's POV
I was out with a couple of my guys. Oliver, Chubbs and Anthony. I brought them along with me because I wanted to make sure I was making the right decision with the purchase I was going to make today. I had my security stand outside the door and I had them tag-along with me to visit my personal jeweler. I was going to purchase a ring.
I low-key think they were trying to talk me out of it because they kept asking me about our past and all of this extra bullshit that I didn't care about. Like they didn't want me to do it.
"What is it about her? Why do you keep going back to her? Going through so much shit and I can't believe that you actually let shit go this far. What's so special?" Anthony says
"Yeah, I wanna know too because after the last Instagram post, you have everyone thinking you proposed, including me." Oliver says, "Why is she the reason you're acting this way?"
"Please explain." Chubbs says, smirking.
"When I met her in Miami, it was completely by accident. We weren't even supposed to be at that restaurant. The only reason we were there is because somebody screwed up our reservation and they booked the private rooms. So we went to the restaurant she was at. I don't know what was up but security was on my ass that day and I was so irritated with them. So I tried to hurry up and sneak off to the bathroom and get back before they found out. I was looking back as I hit the corner and I ran directly into her. She dropped her phone, blah blah blah, we locked eyes and I literally felt my heart skip a beat."
"Nah, that's all that pasta you be eating." Anthony says and everyone laughs.
I laugh a little, then I display seriousness in my face again, "You wanted to know and I'm telling you. If you don't wanna know, I'll drop it." I snap at them and they stop laughing.
"Go on, man." Oliver says
"I've never felt anything like that before and I can only link that to her. She spoke and I instantly got butterflies. I ain't never felt no shit like that before in my life. I knew I had to act fast because she seemed like she was in a hurry, so I asked her for her number and she turned me down. She told me she was with Chris and I tried to persuade her to give me a number but she wouldn't. I accepted it and she went back to her table and I went to the bathroom."
"But how did all of that beef start?" Anthony asks
"Well, I might've kinda went over to their table and we exchanged some words. I'll admit, I was feeling a little butt hurt because how are you not gonna give me your number. I'm Drake. So I went over there and let him know that I had already met his girl."
