Today, Ben and I were able to bring home our daughter, Sophie Rose Hanscom. After 20 hours in labor and 3 days in the hospital. I couldn't wait to be back at my house. We got home and I carried Sophie inside while Ben brought the rest of our stuff in.
"Finally we're home" I sighed. I put Sophie's car seat on the counter, where she was sitting. I unbuckles her and I picked her up and cradled her. She's so adorable and she's so tiny, I never wanna put her down.
"Alright Bev everything is put away, do you want to take her to her room?" Ben said and I nodded. We walked down the hall to the last room on the left and we opened the door. Everything inside was either pale pink or pale blue. Ben worked so hard to make sure everything was perfect for the arrival of our daughter. I sat in the big white rocking chair and admired everything.
"This looks amazing Benny" I said
"Only the best for my girls" he kissed my forehead.
I looked down and saw Sophie was asleep.
"You wanna put her in her crib?" Ben asked quietly
"No I wanna hold her till my arms get tired"
Ben chuckled "Ok, just be careful"
"I will trust me"
"I love you" he said directed towards me and Sophie
"We love you too"
