Eddies POV
Today I was going to visit Richie at work. He worked in a small local coffee shop and I just finished my last class for the day. Richie and I are in our third year of college and we live in a small apartment together. It's tiny but it's cozy. I walked into the coffee shop and I saw it wasn't busy. There was a small line of about 3 people. Richie was working the register and taking people's orders and making their drinks. When it was my turn, Richie didn't look up yet, but when he did his eyes widened and he grinned.
"Hey Eds" he said
I rolled my eyes but smiled nonetheless.
"Hi Chee" (a/n in another book I wrote, when I had Eddie called Richie, Chee, some people commented that Chee meant tittie, I DONT WANNA HEAR THAT SHIT...I'm sorry continue reading I love u all)
"What are you doing here?" He asked me
"I just wanted to come see you before I went home"
"I'm about to go on my break, but did you want anything?"
"Caramel Iced Coffee please" I said sweetly. He smiled and began making my drink. When he finished he handed it to me. "That'll be $3.50" he said. I know he cut the price in half but I honestly couldn't care. I paid him $5 and he gave me my change.
"Come on, let's go to the break room" he said.
He walked from the back of the counter and he grabbed my hand and led me to the back of the shop. We sat down on the small couch that was inside it.
"It's a really slow day so I wasn't doing much" he told me
He wrapped an arm around me and pulled me close to him.
"I just wanted to see you" I told him and I took a sip of my drink.
He kissed the top of my head. "I wanted to see you too. I dealt with the worst customer today" he told me
"Why what happened?"
"This guy comes in and he saw the rainbow flag pin I keep on my shirt that came with the jacket you gave me for my birthday, and he wouldn't even order his drink. When I asked what he wanted, he said that he wanted another barista, when I asked why, he said that he didn't want to be served by someone like me. When I realized what he meant, I went to the back and my friend Hazel who told him off and he just left. I don't know, it just brought down my day" he explained to me
"Aw, I'm sorry that happened to you Rich" I said running my hand through his hair. He loves it when I do that.
"It's fine, plus your here now and that's what I needed"
I smiled softly and leaned in and kissed him.
"I'll always be here for you, no matter what" I told him once we pulled away
"I know"
