A Lovely Trap

Part 33

Nandhini's pov:

After coming from cabirs house , manik was brooding throughout the way . And when I questioned him he just smiled tightly at me , maybe that old man fried his brain . He was being antsy ,so as soon as we stepped in the house he went to his room wishing me good night .

I just let it be because even I was very tired of that old mans weird behavior , he asked about my aunt and uncle whom I don't even know . How can my parents never discussed about them , I always thought my father was single child ........

So my father owns his brothers company , so my uncle named his company after my father but why would he ?
My family is such a mess! I don't even know all this till an outsider tells me . Thinking all this ,is killing my brain so I simply went sleep throwing all the burden for tomorrow .

I woke up early in the morning , the weather was too good and I was missing my morning walks in the park , I freshened up ,went and knocked Manik's door to notify , because I don't want the previous episode to repeat .

He opened the door with half lid eyes open and yawning with messy hair but still looking charming .

"What nandini" he mumbled guess he still in sleepy mode .

"Umm I was thinking of going on a walk , I simply came to inform " I told him , he immediately looked alarmed .

"So you want to go on a walk , hmmm wait a moment I will also come " he said

Now I don't understand this , why is he being so protective of me . I mean I am not a celebrity , I am a normal girl !

" Manik can you please tell me what's the issue , why are you being so protective of me . I know we are good friends but that doesn't mean you will follow me where ever I go . I can look after my self that's what I have been doing since ages and trust me I have been fine . I just came to notify so that you will not get tensed " I said as smooth as I can , I don't want to be rude and hurt him . I owe him so much and I know he cares for me deeply but going for a walk is my thing and I feel content doing that . I don't want to force him to come along just because I wish , he's still sleepy and he should sleep more .

He looked uneasy and thought deeply before nodding his head sighing . I smiled

"Now sleepy head you better go sleep , I will be back in a wink . So don't worry ."

I was heading to the main door when he called me sounding urgent .

There was a box in his hand , now I was curious.........

" here ,this is the phone I bought for you . I know what you will say but before that this from company side , I give phones to my employees . " he said explaining

"Please take it , I will worry less and even if you forget the address this can help or else you can call me " he said continuing .

Why is manik panicking about my safety ?

I just took it silently thanking him . He smiled

I started walking slowly towards the park , the weather was chilly but perfect for my peace of mind , manik behavior is slightly confusing and overbearing . Why do I feel something is changing around me , I just wish everything goes good for everyone.
