A Lovely Trap

Nandhini's  pov :

I giggled closing the door of my room after having my favorite food for dinner  , poor manik he thinks he's going to surprise me with his proposal on my birthday but he doesn't know I already got to know he's planning to surprise me .
Today morning I tried to call him but it was unreachable  so I called misha's number, which manik gave me in case I couldn't contact him .

"Hello " misha answered after few rings

"Hi misha , I am nandhini" I said tentatively hoping I didn't disturb her .

"Oh!hello mam" now she became alert .

"Umm I am younger than you so please call me nandini or my friends call me nandu "

"Aah ok umm I'll call u nandu but please not in front of manik sir " she said nervously . Is manik really that scary? But with me he's a gentle man than why is misha so scared of him?

"I will take care of that I am not your boss so no need to call me mam " I explained again .

"Umm ok ! May I know why you called me ?" She asked me politely

"Yeah I forgot about that , umm where is manik  " I asked

"Oh he's busy with selecting a ring for u " she blurted befor saying " oh no ! Oh my god what did I do . Please don't tell him or else he'll kill me " she spoke panicked.

"Okay promise I will not tell him but you have to say clearly what is he planning " I demanded her , I know I am being unfair here but I will give her treat later on .

"Day after tomorrow is your birthday right so he bought a ring for u to propose you and arranged a party "she said nervously.

"Thanks for telling me " I beamed so big .

"Ur welcome but please don't tell him " she requested again .

"I promise misha di , this will be our little secret " I assured her .

I called navya and Cabir to share my excitement.

Navya was eating noodles and Cabir was looking like he was sleeping .

"Hey guys " I said smiling showing all my teeth .

"Now what happened did manik kiss ur other cheek " Cabir grumbled . I scowled at him and navya glared at him .

"What now don't glare at me , last time u called us looking this happy was when he kissed ur cheeks " he said looking ignorant .

"Nandini ignore him , u tell me " navya smiled encouraging me

"Manik is planning to propose me on my birthday " I squealed . Navya clapped her hands while Cabir looked bored , what is his problem?

"You claim each other's fiancé already what's new in this " he said .

Now I was getting agitated

"I hate you " I said to him , he always bullies me . Tears filled my eyes

"Cabir what's your problems always poking her , she tell us important news because she thinks us as her family , why do u have to destroy her happy mood " navya ranted looking frustrated , while he looked helpless .

"Okay okay sorry yaar , u know I hate tears in my little nandu's eyes. I was just teasing you  " Cabir said but I pouted .

"Now if my little sister is angry at me what should I do , hmm " he looked like he's thinking something seriously, now even I got curious.
