"Mommy pass me that bucket!" Mallory said, throwing her plastic shovel to the side.

"Magic word?" Zoe asked, picking the bucket up.

"Pleeeaaaasseee?" Mallory said. Zoe chuckled and handed Mallory the purple bucket. It was quickly filled with sand and Mallory added it to her castle. She took a big step back and smiled at the castle.

"Mama look!" Mallory said, pointing to her castle. Zoe smiled and handed Evan a bottle of water.

"Looks great Mal! Baby are you sure you don't want help?" Zoe asked, watching Evan struggle with the mini tent.

"Nope! I'm good! Also heads up, Mal is making a run for the water and she has no sunscreen on." Evan said. Zoe looked and saw Mallory tearing across the sand.

"Mallory! Sunscreen!" Zoe called. Mallory groaned and walked back towards her mother through the sand.

"But Mooooommyyyyy I don't wannnaaaaa!" Mallory whined.

"I bet you want a sunburn even less." Zoe said as Mallory sat in front of her mother.

"When does Uncle Connor get here?" Mallory asked as Zoe slathered her daughter in sunscreen.

"I don't know! Why don't you ask Nana?" Zoe said, putting sunscreen on Mallory's back.

"Nana, when does Uncle Connor get here?" Mallory asked, attempting to wriggle away from her mother.

"Uncle Connor and Auntie Meredith and Lily get here tomorrow. So they get here tomorrow afternoon and then we're gonna decorate tomorrow with them!" Cynthia explained, gently bouncing Tia in her arms.

"Okay Mal, I'd say you're all sunscreened up. Now just wait a few minutes before you go running for the ocean, so your sunscreen has a chance to soak in." Zoe said, closing the bottle and putting it back in her bag. Evan finished setting up the mini tent and sighed.

"Phew, all done. Now you can be out of the sun baby." Evan said. Zoe smiled as he pressed a kiss to her temple.

"Who's going to take Mallory out?" Evan asked.

"Oh both of you go! I haven't spent much time with Miss Tee." Cynthia said.

"Okay, just make sure she's out of the sun and that she has her hat on and if she gets hungry-"

"Zoe, I raised two children. I can look after a four month old while you two take Mallory to the water. Now go, have fun!" Cynthia said.

"Last one into the water is a rotten egg!" Mallory screamed before taking off across the beach with her parents beside her.
