winter walk

The snow crunched underneath Zoe's feet as she pushed the strolled along the sidewalk. Mallory lead the way and Evan was walking alongside Zoe.

"Who decided this was a good idea?" Zoe asked.

"Daddy did!" Mallory called from a few feet ahead.

"Fresh air won't kill you my love. It's actually good for you. And walking around the block is good too." Evan reminded her.

Zoe glared at her husband.

"Why don't we strap a cabbage to your lower body and see how you feel about walking around the block?" Zoe snapped. Evan sighed and grabbed Zoe's hand.

"I love you." He said.

"I love you." Zoe grumbled. Mallory got to the entrance to the woods and gasped.

The woods looked like something out of a fairy tale, covered in snow with icicles hanging from tree branches.

"Can we go in the woods Mommy?" Mallory asked.

"What do you think Zo?" Evan asked, looking hopeful.

"You two can go. But I'm gonna take Tia home to put her down for a nap. Let me know when you're on your way home." Zoe said, with a hand on her back. Evan smiled and kissed his wife in the falling snow.

"Eewww." Mallory yelled.

"I love you." Evan stated.

"I love you."
