"So... how was it, Mom? What do you think?"

Sinilip ko ang reaksiyon ni Mommy. Inayos niya ang kanyang salamin at nirebyu ang mga designs ko.

God. I flinched every time she turned the pages of my sketchbook. Even if she's my mother, I still couldn't help it but get intimidated whenever she's sporting that formal demeanor. Scary!

Nakatayo lang ako sa harap ng kanyang table dito sa loob ng opisina nila. Kahapon ko lang natapos ang final concept ko, pero hindi ko muna pinasa. I did some final touches before handling it to Mom.

"You're making me cry." I chuckled.

"You make your mother proud, sweetie. Come here."

She offered her arms so I walked towards her and hugged her. Biglang bumukas ang pintuan ng kanyang opisina.

Mom told him the good news and Dad just announced a celebration. Masyado ata silang naligayahan sa unang proyekto ko para sa sariling kumpanya!

"We still aren't so sure if my designs will be accepted!" frustrated kong sambit para matauhan sila.

Dad glanced at me through the rear and back to the wheels. "I didn't raise a pessimist child, Caroline." Dad grinned.
