Falling in love and having a relationship
are two completely different things.

Eve sits up and starts exclaiming to me, "Nicholas, you can't just tell me that out of the blue. You need to tell me in a better scenario. Not right after sex!"
I realized I made a mistake when I asked her to marry me. I reply, "I'm sorry, I was just feeling the moment and I blurted it out."
She gets up and walks over to turn on the light, I see her body in the light and wished that I could go up to her and hug and make her feel better but I don't. Instead I get up and walk to where my clothes is at. My belt makes a noise and she turns around and asks me what I'm doing. I look at her and see her crying. I go over to her and apologize. I put my finger on her chin and raise up her face to look at me and kiss her softly.
Then she whispers, "yes, I will marry you."
I hug her hard and start crying. She then tells me that I have to ask her father for her hand in marriage before anything. I tell her that I would do anything that she tells me.
"How about this? I fly your family to Dallas with my mom and I ask your dad in front of everyone?" I tell her.
She starts to tear up and asks if I would do that for her and I say yes. She takes me back to bed and we lay there with the lights on and fall asleep while I spoon her from the back.
The next morning I wake up at 7am and go to the kitchen and start cooking breakfast. I make two eggs over easy with hash browns. Two pancakes and 4 pieces of bacon and pour out a tall glass of orange juice. Then for me, I make an omelet with ham, and cheese in the middle. I pour two cups of coffee and put two sugars and milk in both of them. I wake up Eve and tell her that breakfast is ready. She opens up her eyes and the sunlight from the window blinds hit her eyes and her eyes shine more brightly than ever.
"Good morning Jet." She says.
I ask her, "Why did you call me Jet?"
She tells me because of the song Bennie and the Jets from Elton John. I start to laugh and say, "ok, Bennie." She pulls me towards her and kisses me.
"I didn't know that you cooked. Apparently there is a lot of stuff that isn't in your file." She says.
I ask her about the file that she's talking about and she then tells me that there's a file on me in the permanent records department. And tell her that most likely its just a file about my endeavors in the army, they won't have anything personal in there. That's why they didn't have anything about me playing piano or me cooking or anything like that. She finally understands. She only knows that I am a soldier that gets things done no matter what. As a person I am someone completely different.
As a soldier, I am direct, tactical and merciless. I hoped that she would never see that side of me. She gets up and puts on her nightgown and goes in to the restroom to wash up and get ready. I walk to the kitchen and put the plates on the dinning room table. I walk to the room to put on my muscle shirt and then I hear a knock on the door. I tell Eve that there's someone at the door and she asks me to get it for her. I walk to the front door and when I open it a guy stands there and asks me who I am.
I ask him who he is because he knocked at the door. And guests are supposed to present themselves, not the other way around. He tries to come in and I tell him to stop and he pushes me out of the way and yells for Evelyn. I grab his arm and he punches me in the face. I restrain myself from hitting him because this isn't my house. I don't want to make a mess in my new fiancé's house. He comes up to me and punches me harder and I fall to the ground.
