The Wedding March always reminds me of the music played when soldiers go into battle
Heinrich Heine
I wake up and see that its dark. I get up and see that it was 6 am.
"Oh shit!" I say out loud.
Eve groans, "Is everything ok?" while waking up.
I tell her that I've been asleep since yesterday evening.
"Yeah, you went to sleep and after all the dishes were done and I put the food away, I checked on the girls and they were still asleep. I sat next to you and started looking at my computer and noticed that you were going through wedding stuff and I decided to go into it and made a list of things so we could consider doing. By the time I was done with the list, the girls woke up and we watched TV in the living room and they fell asleep around 10 pm and I carried them upstairs and put them to bed. And finally came to bed to sleep."
Eve tells me everything that she did until the moment she went to sleep.
I get up, wash up, and go to the kitchen and make breakfast and lunch for Eve. I make two eggs, bacon, and oatmeal for Eve. And for lunch, I serve her a Tupper ware filled with arroz con pollo. Eve gets her plate and sits at the dining room table to eat. She tells me that she wishes that we had a tv in the kitchen so she could watch the news and the traffic report before going to work. I tell her that the TV should only really be in the living room and bedrooms. She tells me that she only wanted a small one in the kitchen. I think about it and tell her that I would see what I could do. I ask her if she had a basement and she tells me that we did and that was where we kept the boiler, washing machine, dryer, and some of the stuff that she stores. I ask her how she felt about making a safe room down there. She tells me that it would be expensive. I tell her that I had money saved up for a safe room when I was at my mom's house and was thinking about using that for a safe room. She asks me why I needed a safe room since everything could put in the basement. I tell her that my dreams have me going mental because I was starting to get paranoid. She tells me that they were just dreams. I tell her that I felt like I was some kind of a conspiracy nut job. She tells me that it was cute because she's never seen me so worried and now she can take care of me. I tell her that I would be using the money for the wedding instead. She gets up and kisses me. I tell her to make the arrangements and that I would pay for it. She tells me that she wanted to go half on it and I tell her that it was a wedding, not a sack of weed.
She looks at me confused and says, "Huh? I don't get it."
I laugh and tell her to forget it because it was a hood joke. She kisses me and tells me to teach her hood humor. I tell her that in due time she will learn.
After a while of watching the news and seeing the traffic, she tells me that she was going to work, and being that it was Friday, we were going to have the weekend as a family. I tell her that today I was going to go car shopping with her mom and I was going to get groceries for the house. She asks me what kind of car I was going to buy for me and I tell her that I was going to go buy a suburban. She tells me that I already had one and I tell her that since I left it with my mom, most likely it was better she kept it since she does more shopping than I do.
"Plus, knowing her, she will take full advantage of it for camping and other things. You don't know my mom as I do. She will keep it and use it in other ways that you have no idea." I say while laughing.
She laughs and tells me that she wishes that she had my mom's imagination. I tell her that I have it and with that, she can learn from me and we can do creative things together. She smiles and says that she can't wait.
