There is nothing in the world like the devotion of a married woman. It is a thing no married man knows anything about.

"So what happened, next dad?" Lydia asks.

I reply, "You know what happened the rest of the day and the next. You two played until yall got about 15000 tickets altogether. Oh my god! So many tickets!!! I don't know how you two did it but it was a hell of tickets! Then your mom took yall home and I went back to my hotel. The following day I gave your mom $150,000 so she can pay for the renovations of the house and get new stuff for yall. Then I had to leave for DC because I had a wedding to plan."

Once I got back to DC, I went straight home and since I didn't have a key to the house yet, I knocked and Ruth answered the door.

"Nicholas! Why did you knock? Don't you have a key, dear?" Ruth asks.

I tell her that I didn't have a key yet and I walk inside. The twins come running from upstairs and yell "Daddy!"

I hug them both and ask them if they were good girls. They tell me that they were. They ask about Jasmine and Lydia and I tell them that they had to go back to Texas with their mom and that they would visit during the summertime and on holidays. They make a sad face and tell me that they wished that they stayed with us. I tell them that I would love that but that they had their own house and that they had to stay with their mom.

Then they ask me, "Do you think that we can stay with them? Like in summertime?"

I start to think and wonder if Mary would let them stay. And then I think that Mary would never be a bad person and deny the twins to stay with their own sisters.

"I'm pretty sure that the girls would love for you to stay with them. But as of now, they are getting a new house and it's getting rebuilt. So until the house is ready, you have to stay here with me until they are ready to have people stay with them. Ok?" I tell them.

And they say ok. Ruth asks me if I had eaten already and I tell her that I was starving. She tells me that she was going to make a few sandwiches for the girls and if I wanted one. The girls look at me and say that they wanted Arroz con pollo. I tell them that it would take a while to cook. They tell me that they would wait. I ask Ruth if there was any rice, tomatoes, potatoes, cilantro, and chicken in the kitchen. She asks what arroz con pollo was and I tell her that it was chicken with rice. She tells me that she could make that. I tell her that I would teach her how to make it. She then tells me that there were videos on youtube that would show her. I make a small laugh and tell her that there was nothing better than learning from a teacher in person than a video. She says ok and we head for the kitchen.

I take out the chicken and put it in a pot with hot water so it can thaw out. I take out the potatoes, the tomatoes and failed to see any cilantro, consome, garlic or jalapeno.

"I don't see all the ingredients I need Miss Ruth. I'll just improvise. Have a seat and watch the masterwork." I tell Ruth.

I cut the tomatoes into four pieces, the potatoes in halves and get a medium pot and fill a quarter of it with water. I put in the vegetables and look for some spices. I find some garlic powder, cumin, salt, pepper and I find some chicken broth. I put in a tablespoon of each into the water. I see that the water was starting to get warm. I put in two cups of rice and add chicken broth. Ruth asks me when she was going to help. I tell her that she was helping by watching because this way she can see how things are done by improvising. I tell her that originally the recipe needed consome and cilantro. She asks me what consome was and I tell her that consome is what Americans call bouillon.
