I believe in everything until it's disproved.

So I believe in fairies, the myths, dragons.

It all exists, even if it's in your mind.

Who's to say that dreams and nightmares

aren't as real as the here and now?

"Put the gun down, Eve! Don't make me do this!" I yell at Evelyn while I point my Armatix pistol at her.

"Let me take her out General!" Yells Brandon.

"Stand down General!" I yell at Brandon.

I see that he doesn't put his gun down. "I said stand down General Monier!" I yell at Brandon again.

Brandon puts down his gun and I stare at Eve. "Honey, please? Let's not take it this far. You are defeated. There's no more need for this fighting. America has finally breathed its last breath. We can rebuild. We can rebuild it better. A better country than what we had before. One that doesn't oppress the people, one where they can live in peace and govern themselves with minimal supervision. One without taxation. One that doesn't charge for electricity and water. It could be the utopia that Nikola Tesla dreamed of." I tell her.

I put my gun down and holster it. Her men raise their guns at me and she tells them to put their guns down. My men surround the white house or what's left of it.

"Look around you. We fought only to destroy but in destruction that means that we can rebuild." I tell her.

I raise my hands up slowly, I put my right hand on top of her gun and start to bring it down. She raises it up again. I tell her softly, "if you're going to shoot me then please do it. But make the shot count. And once our girls get here, you can tell them how their mommy shot their daddy because he was trying to make a better world for them and for his wife."

Her eyes widen and I can see her eyes start to tear up. "Ayeka. Melfina. My babies are coming here?" She asks me.

I tell her that they will be at the cabin in Acton, Montana in about a month. I tell her that Jasmine and Lydia are bringing them there so that we can go home together. As a family. She starts to cry and I put her gun down. I walk up to her and she hugs me and cries at the same time.

"I thought that you were dead all this time." She tells me.

"I did too baby, I thought that the blackout took you from me. It took me a while to get back home but when I saw the house completely demolished, I moved things around and I saw dead bodies, I couldn't tell who was who and once I returned to the ranch, I told them that their mommy died for a second time and they mourned you baby. We made a tombstone for you and the girls would put flowers on your tombstone more than for their own mother. You are their mother! And imagine when they see you alive. They will die of happiness." I tell her.

She orders her men to stand down. And tells them to give up because they are defeated. General Monier tells his men to arrest them. I tell them, "No! In war there are enemies on both sides and heroes on both sides as well. These men fought for their country and should be treated with respect. We had the same idea just like them. Now they will help rebuild our new nation and protect it."

I look at them and they tell me "thank you General".

I nod at them and tell Eve, "Come on ballerina, let's go meet the girls and then go home and retire. I'm sure that Jasmine and Lydia will take care of them on their way up there."

I run my finger through the scar on her face and tell her that she has never looked more beautiful than ever before. Then out of nowhere I hear a buzzing sound.
