Great things are never done by one person. They are done by a team of people. Steve Jobs

"His pulse is stabilizing. His fractures are still the same. He has a concussion and should rest for a few days. But knowing Nicholas, he will say that he would rest when he is dead. He is my husband after all. I know how he is." Eve says out loud.

I look around and see everyone over me as if they were lions looking at a piece of meat.

"You're damn right I'll rest when I'm dead," I tell Eve.

Jasmine tells me that I should take it easy and rest. I ask her what happened. Josh tells me that my foot got stuck on the harness, then lost my footing and fell off the horse and hit my head. I tell him that I remember getting a pain in my ribs and then falling.

I ask everyone where my beans were at and they ask me, "Are you seriously thinking about food right now?"

I tell everyone that I was at the house.  "Where am I going to go? You all are here, yall can take care of me. Now all we need to do was just make a hole for the pot and put the beans in with some water and let them sit overnight and they would be ready by noon if we start the fire at 6 am." Jasmine tells me that she would do the beans and that everyone else was going to help me up and I was going to sit on the chair outside and watch everything and I would give the orders from there. I laugh and ask her when she became a leader. She tells me that she was her father's daughter. I smile and tell her that she was exactly that.

I see Josh digging a hole about 20 feet away from me and tell him that the hole has to be at least two feet deep and at least 6 inches wider than the pot, so the air can pass through it and keep the fire hot. He asks me how I knew all these little things about cooking in the ranch and I tell him that when I was little, I used to live with my great-grandpa and I would see how he would do things and I would just remember them and that's how I would do them now. He tells me that it would be nice to be raised on the ranch. I tell him that he was.

"What do you mean?" Josh asks.

I tell him that he's being raised right now. He stops what he was doing and then it finally hits him and he laughs. I laugh with him and then he says that he felt dumb. I tell him that being back with nature makes things a little simpler and the old ways start to dissipate. He continues to dig the hole and we continue to converse while he digs. Once he digs it to the way I tell him, he puts in a base of logs and then puts in some paper in the middle and some cotton and some rags. Finally he stacks more wood and then puts the pot on top of it. I tell him to fill the pot with the beans and add water until its about ¾ full. Once he's done with what I tell him. We put the lid on top and let it sit. I try to get up and Genesis tells me to sit down or else she would tell her sisters. I look at the wrist computer and the projection of Genesis just smiles at me. I smile back and sit back down. I ask her how I was supposed to get the grill over here if I was sitting down. She tells me that Josh would go and bring it. Josh looks at me and starts laughing. I laugh and tell him that he heard what his niece said. He tells me that he can't believe that he's taking orders from a computer. I tell him that she may be a computer, but she's still his niece. He laughs and tells me that I had a point. He brings the grill and puts it where I was pointing at. I tell him to help me get up so we can go back inside.

Josh helps me to the office and I get 10 folders. I put the names of every family on each folder and tell Josh that each folder will contain each request of the families and once we read them all, we would be taking into account all the things that they need and want to keep them happy because once we are gone, they will need to be taken cared for.

"I know that it may sound weird but if the girls don't come with us, then we will need them to stay here and the village will have to help them because once we leave next year. It's going to take almost a year and a half just to get everyone to rally up and then go to war to end this feud. Once the war is over and clean upstarts, we send for the girls, and Jasmine will be the new leader in charge. I've been grooming her to be the new president." I tell Josh.
