I had to go to the bigger city in my area to get my ultrasound. No, I'm not pregnant. Its for other reasons. I'm glad the appointment wasn't cancelled, many people said it would be. It was kinda my first time being so far away from home and it was weird seeing stores closed down. Streets abandoned. It felt like every apocalyptic movie ever.
But, it crosses my mind. Will they ever be normal again? How many businesses will lose to bankruptcy? Never open their doors again? At this point, its foolish to reject reality because its all we have. The world is changing, whether we like it or not. There is no normal. Whatever comes next, we'll just adapt. We have to. I guess its what we do best. Survive.
