I got a call from work but I decided not to go in. My brother and I had been talking about taking his boat out on the lake. Today was going to be a very nice day so I didn't want to waste it. My brother works second shift at his job and I work first shift, so its very hard for us to get together to do anything - but he was on vacation this week.

We ended up bringing along the family dog, she loves going places and especially the water. On the way, we detoured and picked up some of my brother's friends. I mean, I didn't like the idea of being the only girl on the boat but I wasn't passing it up. Still, it was an absolutely gorgeous day. The water was warm, the sun was out, and we were the only boat on the lake most of the time.

We threw a ball off the boat so the dog could swim, we took turns throwing each other off the tube, and then we docked in a really neat little cove to take an afternoon nap. It was incredible. I swam around the boat alittle while the boys slept and then I sunbathed on the back of the boat. I just loved not having to think about my responsibilities or anything. Just peace.
