I worked my usual hours but I was so excited because I was going to my bestfriends afterwards! We'd been trying to get together the past month but it just never worked out. Now, we'd found an opening in both of our schedules to get together! She text me during my break to let me know she was making cold coffee for tonight. She knows me so well.

I got home from work, fed the horses, and showered. It was 89 degrees outside and I drove the whole way to her house with my sunroof open and windows down. We got pizza and wings for dinner. Then, we went to her boyfriends to ride her horses. As the sun went down on the mountain, we rode side-by-side, chatting up a storm. The sunset was breathtaking. In those moments, I'm thankful.

When we got back to her house, we got coffee and ice cream, then we stayed up until 3am watching Netflix. I missed nights like those. They make me happy to be alive.
