Heart monitor pt.2

ARIADNE'S POV

" So have you found anything else out about the alpha?" Lydia asked. I was surprised Lydia wanted to help. " Um, no we haven't but we think we have a new theory" I said. Then the bell had rung signaling the next class. Lucky for Lydia and I we had a free period. " Care to explain?" Lydia asked as we sat down on the stairs. " Ok so my brother thinks that there is a Hale that's alive that we haven't met yet. And we've been thinking that this all has to do with the Hale fire. The only problem is I can't find any evidence linking the victims to the fire" I said leaning back against the wall.

" Yea leaving people alive isn't exactly what the alpha has been doing lately" Lydia said sassily as she crossed her arms. " I know who are you telling" I joked laughing. Being with Lydia was nice, I didn't have to keep the secret from her and it isn't always about the supernatural. " Ok getting off the murderous alpha rampage that's been going on. What are you doing tonight?" Lydia asked. I sucked in a breath, I had to go back tonight with Oceanus to finish the demon job. " Why? What are you doing?" I asked seeing if maybe it was important enough that I could hold off for one more day. " Oh I was just going to see if you wanted to have a sleepover, maybe even invite Allison?" Lydia asked as she stretched out her legs. That sounds fun but that's not important. " I can't, I made a promise with my brother that I would take him with me to finish the demon job my dad sent me on" I told Lydia, if it made her feel any better I didn't want to bring him along. " Can't you hold off for one night?" Lydia asked. " No I can't I've already did and the last time I went by myself I could've died" I told her. She sighed and nodded her head.

" Didn't you say that the Argent's were the only ones who knew about the Hales?" Lydia asked. I nodded, " yea but what does that have to do with anything?" I asked to see where she was going with this. " How long has it been since an Argent has been in Beacon Hills?" She asked and still ignored my question. " Last I heard was around 10 or 11 years ago" I stated, I still have no clue what this could lead to, honestly I would rather be kissing Isaac right now. This is an off topic statement but, we've had a couple movie nights since the night at the school and every time we've been close somebody comes home and ruins it.

" That was around the time of the fire, so what if an Argent or Argent's set the Hale fire!" Lydia said, damn that girl is smart, how come I didn't think of that. " Lydia you're a genius! How did you even figure that out?" I asked. I'mma have to hold that though on kissing Isaac. " I don't even know it just fit like pieces of a puzzle when you told me all of it" she said. It got quiet and then we stood up realizing that the bell was going to ring and we had to go to separate classes. " I'll text you later?" I said walking down the steps. " Always" Lydia smiled walking down the hall. Just then the bell rang and I went to my locker grabbing my books for coaches class and meeting with Stiles and Scott.

I seen Scott and Stiles as I walked in class, they looked at me or more specifically behind me, I looked over and saw Allison. I rushed to the seat behind Scott. " Hey do you think I could sit there?" She asked, I was tempted to give up the seat but Scott shook his head. " I'm sorry Allison but I can't, Scott said he had something important to tell me" I lied as she took the seat behind me. " Hey, I felt like I haven't seen you all day" Allison said, I turned around to see if she was talking to me but she was looking at Scott. I should've known considering the fact that I saw her at lunch. " Yea I've just been really busy" Scott said. I rolled my eyes that's the best excuse he could come up with? " when are you gonna get your phone fixed? I feel like I'm totally disconnected from you" Allison said a little sad. " Uh soon, real soon" Scott replied.

I looked over at Stiles, pointing between Scott and Allison. Stiles shrugged his shoulders and rolled him eyes. I smiled as he gave them a weird face. " I changed lab partners by the way" Allison said a little excited. Scott turned around looking confused. I swear this kid needs to learn how to read a conversation. " Oh to who?" Scott asked. Allison smiled, " to you dummy, this gives me the perfect opportunity to bring you home to study, and I could help get your grade up" she said. Scott was going to speak until coach started talking.

" Let's settle down," coach said as he slammed a book, " let's start with last nights reading" he finished. " Greenburg put your hand down everybody knows you did the reading. How about somebody like McCall!" Coach called Scott out. That's when I sat up paying attention. Coach went in on Scott basically calling him out on his grades and making fun of him. Scott's shoulders started heaving up and down as Scott continued to yell at him. So I grabbed Scott's hand, intertwining our fingers together to hopefully help lower his heart rate. And it did as he rubbed his thumb over mine. He turned his head slightly as he looked over at me. I smiled at him and nodded my head, paying attention to the rest of the class.

3rd PERSON POV

" By guys" Ariadne said as she walked away with Allison. Scott and stiles waves at the two as the walked the opposite direction. " It's her" Stiles spoke up. " What do you mean?" Scott asked. " It's Ariadne, she's the one" Stiles said. Scott shook his head, not wanting it to be true. " No Allison-'' Scott got cut off. " No it's different with Ariadne. With Allison she's just your girlfriend a person that you have feelings for. Now Ariadne is the girl that pulls you back, she gives control, kind of like an anchor" Stiles said. " Yea but I mean Allison" Scott whined a little. He wanted it to be Allison so he could help himself with his feelings that he had for Ariadne. " Ok Scott since you don't believe it's Ariadne, we're going to do one last thing" Stiles said with frustration as he dragged his friend down the hallway.

" Stiles what are we doing out here?" Scott asked. " It's the next theory ok? Do you have your keys?," Stiles asked, Scott raised them up, " ok good that great now hold them out" he finished. So then Stiles took his keys and keyed the guys car next to him. Scott looked wide eyed especially when Stiles called him out. " Woah! What do you think you're doing to that truck bro?" Stiles questioned gaining the attention of the guys a few feet away. The saw the car and started jumping Scott. Stiles saw that his pulse was rising and that he couldn't really help.

Scott was trying to find Allison's voice, but it led him somewhere else. " Yes Ocean I'm coming home after school, I know I agreed to let you come with me tonight so don't be late" Scott recognized the voice to be Ariadne. He didn't want to believe it but now he had to, and he did. He just thought those feelings for one of his best friends would go away. " Knock it off!" A voice yelled and Scott looked up to see Mr.Harris, " Stilinski, McCall. Detention!" He yelled dragging the boys away.

ARIADNE'S POV

I just walked through the door to see Oceanus already sitting there, not dressed. " What did I tell you? Why aren't you dressed?" I asked, I was already dressed so I didn't plan on changing, maybe just grabbing something to eat. " I thought you were gonna change when you got home!" Oceanus said like it was expected of me. " Boy shut up and go get dressed. It's gonna be dark soon and I don't like fighting in the dark" I said pointing up the stairs, he sighed and walked but not before saying, " it's good to know that my sister is still being nice" and then he jogged up the stairs. I scoffed walking into the kitchen looking for something small. I grabbed a pack of crackers and water.

10 minutes later here he comes. " You got everything?" I asked, he nodded his head and showed me his bow and a blade. I nodded my head as we walked out the door.

Coming to the spot in the woods where the rest of the demons are will not be fun, considering the fact that the sun was setting and we didn't have much time. " Ok it's just right up ahead" I said pointing to the tree that I marked. I then grabbed a blade, making a small cut on my wrist, drawing blood. " Now we wait" I said as I let my whip fall and pulled out a blade giving me some light. It didn't take long because 3 minutes later a swarm of demons came at us. We were doing good at first but then some got harder to kill. I was pushed, knocking me off my feet. Then a demon was pushing me against a tree roaring in my face. Then a blade came through it's chest and then disappeared. I looked over at Ocean and nodded. At least we got the job done.

We were walking back through the woods taking a short cut, when he heard a roar echoing everywhere. I could feel our eyes begin to glow. " Can you pinpoint it?" I asked my brother as he drew a blade. " Already did, it's at the school" he said, and we took off running.
