Illuminated pt.1

3rd PERSON POV

The group was banging in the door and calling out Cora's name. Finally they opened the door, Oceanus being the first person to go to her. He tried to touch her but she flinched away, " she's freezing, she's like ice" he said. " Cora, Cora I need you to look at me" Argent said but Cora just kept shivering. " Cora, you need to trigger it, you need to turn" Allison said as she grabbed her face in her hands, " I'm sorry" she muttered and slapped Cora across the face. She did it several times till Cora growled and pushed away from them.

Oceanus sat down next to her and started rubbing her shoulder. " Did you see them?" Cora asked with tears in her eyes. " Who?" Oceanus asked softly. " They were five of them. They wore black. I couldn't, I couldn't see their faces. They were covered" Cora stuttered out.

" What do you mean? Like masks?" Aries asked her but she shook her head, years streaming down her face. " One of them, I could see their eyes. They were greenish-yellow, like a, like a firefly" she described, as she stared off into the distance.

Argent stood up and walked over to the windows, " the security system wasn't triggered" he tried to open the windows but they were still locked. " Then how did they get in?" Allison asked. " They didn't. It was like they came out of the shadows" she said and Argent turned his head fast.

" Do you know what that means?" Oceanus asked Chris. " Um. I'm not sure. Listen I need you guys to keep this quiet for a few hours" he instructed the teens. " From everyone?" Aries asked, and the other teens thought so as well. They didn't like keeping things from Scott, especially Ariadne.

" Just 24 hours" He repeated. " They could've killed her dad" Allison reminded him. " But they didn't" he countered. " This seems supernatural to me. People coming out of the shadows, coming after Cora, who's a werewolf. It's gotta be supernatural" Oceanus figured, he knew that he might be right, and if it was true, he certainly couldn't keep it from the others.

" I think there might've been a reason why. I think they might be after me. Just keep this quiet" Chris admitted and walked out of the room. Allison and Aries following after him.

ARIADNE'S POV

We're back at the station after we saved Kira. "So when did you get there?" Rafael asked as he leaned on the desk. " At the same time" Stiles answered shortly. " At the same time as who?" He asked back. " At the same time as us" I pointed to the rest of us on the couch, minus Kira.

" By coincidence?" Rafael asked again. "What do you mean coincidence?" Isaac asked confused. " That's what I'm asking you. You guys arrive at the same time. Was that coincidence?" He urged. Honestly I think I just got a little confused.

" Are you asking me?" Scott asked, " I think he's asking me" Stiles answered. " I think he's asking all of you" Lydia said as she rested her face in her hands.

" Ok, let me answer the questions" McCall said, and I smiled. I guess he caught on because he corrected himself, " let me ask the questions" I looked over to see Stiles point and wink at him.

" Just so I have this absolutely clear. Barrow was hiding in the chemistry closet at the school. Someone left him a coded message on the blackboard to kill Kira. Then Barrow took Kira to a power substation and tied her up with the intent to electrocute her, which blacked out the entire town" Rafael went over the story aloud. " Sounds about right" Stiles agreed.

" How'd you know her take her to a power station?" He asked Stiles. " Well he was an electrical engineer so where else would he take her?" Stiles asked rhetorically. " That's one hell of a deduction there, Stiles" McCall congratulated him. " Well what can I say? I take after my pops. He's in law enforcement" Stiles pointed at his dad and smiled. Sheriff tried to cover up his laugh but he snorted and tried to play it off as a cough.
