Training and Feelings

3rd PERSON POV

The twins father had always told them that the only choice between love and war is which one will kill you first. They never understood what that meant, until now.

It seemed liked ever since Scott McCall was bitten, the supernatural was coming to Beacon Hills. It seemed like they were at war, and it's was only a matter of time before it killed either of them. When they almost died because of the Argents, on more than one occasion. Now they are dealing with an alpha pack.

The twins and Aries have been training with Derek and Isaac, sometimes Peter. They'd switch partners every now and then so they get a chance to fight somebody new. They all agreed to keep Scott and Stiles out of it, seeing as it didn't concern them.

Derek would train Ariadne the most, he had seen her in action more times than he could count, he also seen the other shadow hunters fight and seen that she was probably the best fighter. He could see that she was more of the fighter, and probably the leader out of the trio. Kinda like she was the alpha of them in a way.
He noticed that she was more of an action kinda girl. And he took interest in that.

" Again" Derek said as he breathed out, and helped Ariadne stand. Today Derek gave everybody the day off except her. " Derek we've been at this for hours. And why am I the only one that's here today?" She questioned as she leaned on a beam. Over the summer Derek moved into a loft and he decided that was best considering the whole alpha symbol on the old Hale house door.

" Because you're the best fighter out of all of them. I've seen you move, your agile but you tend to repeat the same moves. I can help with that" Derek told her and picked up her staff and threw it at her. He figured that he didn't feel like getting stabbed on accident so a staff would be better for the both of them. " Also, when you fight somebody you know, say like Allison. You get angry and that's not a bad thing but it can distract you, make you less aware of the things going on around you. So say if somebody wanted to" he trailed off as he walked behind her and knocked her on the ground. " If they wanted to do that, they would have you right where they want you and you'd be dead. I can help teach you some new moves" he said and she huffed.

" Derek, you are making me annoyed" She said and Derek saw that the grip she had in the staff was making her knuckles white. He didn't say anything but flicked out his claws and charged at her. He went for her stomach but she kicked him back, when he stumbled she took a few steps forward and went for his neck, swinging it like a sword. He caught it just in time and shoved it away, he jumped right back up and landed a punch to her face, this caused he to stumble. Derek charged at her but she ducked and swung the staff at his side, then elbowed him. He fell to his knees and she went at him again but he anticipated the hit and punched her in the stomach, stuck out his foot and tripped her, causing her to fall.

" And you're dead" Derek said, Ariadne used that small window of opportunity and put the staff between his feet, she hit the staff on his left foot, knocking him down and she jumped right back up. " You forget, I know about you to Derek" she said and helped him up.

" I see that when you train, you think a fight is over just because the person is on the ground. You let your guard down. Don't forget, you can die to" she breathed out and Derek had a small smile on his face. " Do my eyes deceive me, or does Derek Hale have a smile?" She asked and he dropped it very fast. " Oh come on now Derek, don't be like that. You look better when you smile" she said and went to get a drink of her water.

When she came home she saw everybody in the kitchen. " What's going on?" She asked as she set the keys on the table. " What do you mean? You invited us over, you told us it was movie night" Lydia said and everybody nodded. " Oh, sorry I forgot. Just get the snacks and stuff set up and I'll be down in a minute" she said rushing up the stairs. She hurried and showered. When she got home she completely forgot about how she was bruised and sweaty.

Coming out the bathroom she saw Scott in her room. " Hey what's up?" She asked and walked to her dresser to grab a few products for her hair. " Where were you? You never forget movie night" Scott pointed out, and she could here the worry in his voice. " I was training. You know the life of a shadow hunter never stops" she joked and turned to face him. " How come Oceanus and Aries were here then?" He asked, crossing his arms over his chest. "Well why do you think I'm the best?" She joked and walked to her mirror to see what she was doing with her hair.

" Why can't you tell me where you were?" Scott whines and she sighed. " I was training with Derek! God you sound like an over protective boyfriend!" She said as she put her hair in a bun. " Why were you training with him?" Scott asked, clearly not fazed by what she said.

" Because he gives me a challenge, and I challenge him. You act like me and Derek are together" she said and went to open her door but Scott closed it. " Are you?" Scott asked, still pressing on the subject. And Ariadne finally connected the dots.

" Is that what this is about? You're jealous! Scott I promise you, I don't want Derek, even if he is good looking" She said and that did not help Scott out at all. " Well I'm just saying. I like you, and I don't want to wait to be with you" Scott told her and took her hand in his. "You know why that can't happen" is all she said. " I messed up! I just want to finally be able to call you my girlfriend!" Scott exclaimed and then Ariadne captured his lips in a kiss.

" I told you, give me some time. I never said this wouldn't become a thing" she said and motioned a hand between her and Scott. " Does that help you out now! Can you finally stopped being jealous?" She asked and he shook his head. " I don't know, I think I'm gonna need to find out first" he said and kissed her this time. Ariadne knew that it was cliche but every time she kissed him, it was like their very first kiss, and all those feelings just rushed back to her.

" Ok now we gotta go before they start talking" she said pulling away and walking downstairs.
" Can we finally start the movie now?" Stiles asked as they all walked into the living room.
Lydia had made sure to sit by Ariadne so she could ask her what that was about.

" So you and Scott?" Lydia whispered to her as they all watched Halloween. " There is no me and Scott" Ariadne whispered back, not taking her eyes off the movie. " Not yet" Lydia said sassily, and Ariadne whipped her head around. " No. I'm gonna give Allison some time to get over him. She is in France trying to get over him. Even though she basically gave Scott permission to move on, I don't want to jump right into a relationship" she whispered and then felt popcorn being thrown at them. " No talking! You know the rules" Isaac said. Ever since the whole thing with Jackson, he had become close with them.

She flipped him off and threw popcorn back at him, accidentally hitting Stiles. " Really? Stop being childish" Stiles said and threw some back at her. " Yea, we are basically young adults" Aries agreed and threw some at Scott. Lydia then threw some at Oceanus. From there it turned into an all out popcorn fight.

They were all laughing and smiling, and none of them said it but they all felt it. This was the most normal thing they've done in a while.

So the first chapter is done, very happy. I wanted to give them a normal time but also mix in looking for the alphas. I'll probably add to more other chapters before I get into the episodes
