ARIADNE'S POV

Aiden helped Derek and I jump start Stiles Jeep. " So you think he was just sleep walking or there something more to it?" Aiden asked us. " With my experience. In this town, it always seems like something more" I answered honestly. " What if I told you I know something more?" Aiden hinted.

" I overheard Stiles talking to Scott. How he was the one who wrote that message on the board to kill Kira" Aiden explained, and I wasn't shocked because I listened in as well.

" You think Stiles, skinny, defenseless, Stiles. Is the nogitsune?" Derek asked in disbelief. "A powerful, dark spirit?" He added on. " He's right Derek" I sided with Aiden.

" I could feel it. That night, when Scott and the others got marked by the oni, Scott and I went to find Stiels because Melissa told us he was here. And when we found him it was like this weird energy came off him" I explained how I felt that night. " We aren't the only ones thinking it, we're the only ones saying it" Aiden said and I agreed.

" This thing wants to possess someone, and it chooses Stiles? Why not take someone, bigger, stronger, someone with a little more power?" Derek said the last part and had a look of realization. " Stiles is the perfect person. He hides in plain sight, cause as much chaos and pain as he can" I said, and I should've seen it coming. " Go home. Get some sleep" Derek recommended. Aiden just nodded and left.

" Why aren't you leaving?" He asked from beside me as I sat on the curb. " I'm waiting for Scott" I let out a short answer. " Do you guys know how to exercise a demon out of somebody?" Derek asked. I sighed and turned to him. " That's the thing, it's never been done. When a demon takes possession of anybody, they're already dead, or their dying" I could feel my throat tighten and I looked away. I took a deep breath and turned back to him.

" I don't want to lose one of my best friends, Derek. I don't want to watch him die. I don't think I could handle that" I said honestly and he wrapped and arm around my shoulder, I rested my head on his shoulder. " I think we'll find a way. Scott always does" Derek comforted me. I sighed, I hope he's right.

" You know what this reminds me of?" Derek asked me. " You might have heard the story but, my first love Paige, I cared for her more than anything. And when she died, I was devastated. I gave up hope so easily, I had really changed after that. I believed nobody would ever fill that void, that I wouldn't love anybody the same-" I cut off Derek's story.

" I know the story, but is there a point to this?" I asked. " My point is, if things do go bad, don't give up hope. Ariadne you are one of the best people I know. I don't want to see you lose everything you've worked so hard for. Keep fighting, and keep pushing" He said in a firm tone. I just nodded, I didn't know what to say really. Derek wasn't one to open up about his emotions so I didn't really know what to say.

He turned towards me and held up his pinky, I raised an eyebrow, " what're you doing?" I furrowed my brows. " I'm making a pinky promise" he had a small smile on his face. "Derek, the last time I made a pinky promise, Boyd died" I reminded him. His smile faltered a little, but he still held it out.

" It's not that kind of promise, I swear. Let's make a pact to keep fighting, and keep pushing. Until we can't fight any more. Promise?" He asked and I stared at his finger. Could I really do this? Make a promise again? It may seem small to anybody who hasn't gone through what we have, but this is a big thing to me.

" Promise. Don't make me regret this, Derek" I agreed and wrapped my pinky around his. All I can do know is fight and hope we all come out of this alive.

3rd PERSON POV

Scott and the twins were walking out of class. Everything seemed like a daze to them, they all had been friends since they were kids and what happened with Stiles really scared them. "Aria! Aria!" Kira called out from down the hallway.
