The Dark moon pt.3

ARIADNE'S POV

After Oceanus and I took out the knives, Severo asked us again. "So, maybe you don't know who it is in this moment. But who would have a reason to take Derek all of the sudden? Somebody with a particular vendetta against the Hales?" He asked us. "We don't know! How many times do we have to tell you?" I slammed my hands on the table, this was too much.

"Who could've had the power? The power of a shapeshifter?" Severo ignored me and continued to ask. "Someone who could've turned without you guys know. But not by a bite" the lights started flickering. "You know who!" Severo brought my attention back to him when another knife was thrown at my brother. "Ok! Ok, wait" Oceanus pleaded.

"A vendetta against the Hales. And somebody who could've turned but not by a bite?" I whispered to him. "The only one we know that had a really bad vendetta was Kate. But she's dead" Oceanus said, but then I realized. "You're lying" I said as I turned to Severo. He shook his head and left the room.

"What, Aria?" My brother asked me. "Kate. It's Kate Argent" I answered him. "No way. She died!" He exclaimed. "She did. But it makes sense. She had a vendetta, and she was killed by Peter. Alpha Peter, at the time, may I remind you. It's the only way. And I think she's been back to Beacon Hills sooner than we think" I said nervously. Oceanus didn't have time to respond when we heard a roar, and I knew that from anywhere. "Scott!" I yelled.

Then, the door opened and Araya came through. "I see that you've figured it out" she held the door opened a little wider for us to leave and follow her. "The knives weren't necessary" Oceanus said as we made our way outside, to see Scott and the others waiting on us. "It made it a little more believable. You would've figure it out in due time, but I figured since you're here, why not?" I nodded even though I had no clue really. "Tell your father I said hello" we nodded once more and met with the rest of the pack.

"Are you ok?" Ethan and Aiden rushed up to us immediately. "Yea, nothing like a few knives to the shoulder to get your memory going" they nodded and back away. I met Scott's eyes and took his hand. "I'm ok" I whispered to him. He sighed and gave me a lopsided smile. "So what now?" Stiles asked. "She thinks we know where we can find Derek" Scott answered. "Is she gonna tell us where?" Cora asked. "Actually, she's giving us a guide" Isaac answered.

Then a motorcycle came around the corner and stopped right between Scott and stiles and the Jeep. "You know her?" Stiles asked. "Braeden" I answered with a smirk. It's good to see her again. "This is the girl who saved our asses that night before school started" Aries elaborated further. "She's also a mercenary" Lydia added.

"Right now, in the only one who's going to take you to la Iglesia" Braeden answered. "The church?" Aries questioned. "What's the chuch?" Isaac asked. "It's not a place you'll find god" she answered. "Lovely" I muttered. "Ok, you guys take Stiles' jeep and the rest of us will take my car" I said and everybody walked to the cars. "Are you sure you're ok?" Scott looked over at me one more time. A soft smile fell on my lips, I forgot how much he cared.

"I'm ok. I promise" I gave his hand a squeeze and walked away. "Don't say anything" I said as I opened the door. "Awkward my ass" Aiden said as he, Ethan, and Cora got into the backseat. "So, who exactly is Kate Argent?" Ethan asked as he started the conversation. "Allison's aunt. Total bitch" I answered. "She started the Hale fire that killed most of Derek and I's family. What I didn't know was that Peter made it out" Cora added on.

"A very angry Peter" Oceanus added. "Yea, so, he finally caught up to her and killed her. Or I guess we thought" I mumbled as I sped up a little to keep up with Stiles. "So, the one thing I don't understand is... how would the Calaveras know that she was alive? And why wouldn't they kill her?" Aiden asked. "The Calaveras heard that she was killed by an alphas claws. They wanted to make sure she was really dead. Her body healed more and more as it got closer to the full moon. So, they took her and switched out the bodies. If a hunter is bit, they have to take their own life" Ocean explained.
