Insatiable pt.1

ARIADNE'S POV

After Cora called Deaton she came back in and told us that Lydia was taken by the nogitsune and now Stiles is being tested by the oni to see if it's really him.

" I should've stayed. I could've killed him as soon as he and Stiles were separated" I said to myself even though I knew Kira could hear me. " It's not you're fault" Kira tried to reassure me. " Someone once told me that you can make mistakes and blame yourself for it, but that doesn't define you. It's what you do about it that does" I nodded trying to calm down.

" Who did you hear that from?" I asked curiously. It was a good saying. " It was in this book I read" I laughed a little as she shrugged. " Kira, you did really good today. Nobody's ever usually willingly wanting to help us. Thank you" she nodded as we got out of the car.

" Stop!" Kira and I said unison as we walked through the back door. My eyes landed on Stiles. He looked pale, almost like he was sick, dying even. " It's ok. I'm the one that asked her to come" Stiles walked closer. " You're the one who's going to get stabbed with swords. Mom, don't do this" Kira pleaded. " It's too late" Noshiko replied.

Two of the oni appeared as the grabbed Stiles, looking deep into his soul as they did the others. They dropped him and then disappeared. " Look behind his ear" Noshiko instructed. I was the first to move and check. "It worked" I said with a sigh of relief.

" It worked. But, am I actually me?" Stiles asked as we helped him off the ground. " More you than the nogitsune" Noshiko answered. "Can the oni find him?" I asked her. " Not now, it's too close to dawn" I sighed as I leaned against the wall. " Can they kill him?" Stiles asked next.

" It depends on how strong he is" I caught Noshiko staring at me. Why does she keep doing that? " Why would he take, Lydia? Why would he take her?" Scott asked. " He would only take her for an advantage" but I knew what she was talking about.

" You mean her power" Scott realized. "The power of a banshee" Kira's mom confirmed.

After they left it was just Scott, Stiles, and I in the living room. "I'm gonna go grab my phone" Scott dismissed himself. I walked over and hugged Stiles. " It's so good to have you back. I've been dealing with a bunch of idiots" I could hear Stiles laughing as he wrapped his arms around me. " You don't have to worry. I'm not going anywhere" we pulled away as Scott came back in.

" I've got to go. I'm pretty sure Aries and Oceanus are back at the house. I'm gonna catch them up to speed. Scott, I love you. I'll see you later, Stiles" I gave Scott a quick kiss and left.

As I walked through the door, I saw my boys in the kitchen. "Well, that was an interesting reunion for the three of us" I said as I sat down. " I'm so sorry for that back there" I nodded as he apologized. " It's ok. I still kicked your guys ass" I shrugged it off as I started making some food.

" No, you got lucky. If they hadn't separated Stiles and the nogitsune, this would be a very different conversation. Trust and believe" I nodded sarcastically. "Sure. It's not like I've kicked your asses almost every single day of our lives. But, believe what you want to" I said sarcastically as they joined in laughing.

" The nogitsune took Lydia. Noshiko said he took her for her power" I changed the subject to the task at hand. " So... wherever he's keeping her... he needs her for something?" Aries said confused. While I just nodded and shrugged my shoulders.

" Can we track her?" Oceanus asked. " Maybe... I don't know. If we do, we're gonna need something really personal of hers. So if you guys have any idea on how to get it, be my guest" I said as I sat my bowl of noddles on the counter.
