Venomous pt.1

ARIADNE'S POV

I was at my locker getting ready to meet with the guys when Jackson came up to my locker. "Look I know we're not cool but I gotta tell you something" he said, looking dead serious. I don't know why he would tell me something but I guess. " Look I borrowed something from this kid Matt. And he started asking all these questions about Allison, like very weird questions. I don't know I just thought I should let you know" He said, and I nodded my head. As he walked away I watched him, was he talking about the Matt that does photography?

I was sitting between Aries and Scott, staring at the person in front of us. " Guys, you're not gonna believe what my dad just told me" Stiles said rushing in, taking the seat behind Scott. "Trust us, we know" Scott said, pointing to the now innocent Isaac Lahey.

We all walked out of class as Stiles told us what he found on the Kanima. " All I found on it was that it's a South American myth. Apparently it's a were-jaguar that goes after murderers" Stiles said. " Well this is a nice conversation but I can't handle this right now, just fill me in at lunch, or whenever" I said walking away. I'm was upset when Isaac first broke things off but now that I've seen him, he's different. He's more cocky and I'm not for it, so now I'm just angry I guess.

I was in the hallway putting my books in my locker when I heard some say, " Hey Aria, can we talk?" I turned around and saw Isaac standing there. " Why did Derek send you here to tell me he's gonna kill me?" I asked as I crossed my arms. " Look I didn't want things to go down the way they did" Isaac said, trying to defend his actions. " But they did. We could've had a private discussion about all this but you did it publicly. Just stay out of our way Isaac, I know you and Erica are back here for a reason" I said walking away to meet the pack at lunch.

3rd PERSON POV

After lunch Scott, Stiles and Aria were all in coaches class. " Hey testical left and right, along with Aria. What the hell is a Kanima?" Jackson asked and that immediately caught the attention of the three. " How do you know about that?" Ariadne asked, she wasn't aware this was public information. " Derek tested me, said it wasn't me" Jackson explained, while the boys looked at him weirdly. " Why would Derek test you?" Scott asked. He didn't know that Jackson got the bite.

" How should I know? Do you know what it's like be paralyzed from the neck down?" Jackson recalled just earlier when they tested him. " I'm familiar with the sensation, yes. Wait, do they think it's Lydia?" Stiles asked, he remember Lydia getting the bite and nothing happened.

" I don't know, all I heard was her name and something about chemistry" Jackson said before he got interrupted by Coach. After that conversation Scott pulled Stiles and Ariadne close. " How do we know it's not her?" Scott asked, he made a good point but didn't have any proof, not yet at least. " It's not her, it can't be. If anybody was basically a giant snake, it'd be Jackson" Ariadne whispered, she didn't have any proof that it wasn't her friend but it was just a gut feeling. " Aria, you said it yourself, maybe it is just a harmless teenager like us, and that teenager is Lydia!" Scott whisper yelled, throwing her words back in her face. " It's not her, I looked into the eyes of that thing ok? What I saw was pure evil. When I look into Lydia's eyes I only see 50 percent evil. No more than 40 on a good day" Stiles said, it was the only argument that he could come up with. " Stiles, Aria those aren't very good arguments" Scott said, needing a reason to not think it's her. " We know that. But it's not her, it can't be" Ariadne said, sticking with her gut feeling.

The teenagers all turned their attention to Lydia, when coach called her out. " Does anybody else wanna try? Maybe this time in English?" Coach asked, which caused everybody to laugh. " What is that, Greek?" Scott asked, as he watched Stiles take a picture of the board. " No I think it is English" Stiles responded as he showed the group the picture he took, but flipped it and read out what it said.

It was chemistry and everybody was in there. It was Scott, Stiles, Ariadne, Aries, Oceanus, Allison, Lydia, Erica, and Isaac. " Derek won't kill her, not without proof" Scott said to the group of teens. " He's gonna test her like Jackson right? But when and where?" Aries asked, as they all turned their heads towards Lydia. Scott and Stiles taking seats directly on each side of her. Ariadne and Aries behind her, and Oceanus right behind Stiles. Allison, along with Erica and Isaac all walked in.

Allison noticed how all her friends were surrounded by Lydia. She shot them a questioning look as they all nodded their heads towards Derek's betas. " Einstein once said 'Two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity'. I'm not sure about the universe. I myself, have encountered infinite stupidity. So let's test a theory, you're going to combine efforts through small experiments to get a chemical reaction. So let's really see if two heads are really better than one. Or in Mr.Stilinski's case, less than one" Mr.Harris said, directing the last few statements at Stiles.

Ariadne didn't really care. She was watching the beta's closely, every movement, every thing they touched, she was watching. " Erica, take the first station. All of you put your hormonal, little hands down. Mr.McCall, you'll be paired together" Harris said, as Erica smiled and looked towards Allison.

Harris had paired up everybody by now, Aries was with Isaac. " Listen Lahey, I haven't been here long but Aria is one of my best friends. So if you come around and mess with her friends or her, I'll kill you, without any hesitation, so don't tempt me" Aries threatened the boy. Even though he hasn't been apart of the group that long, he was slowly becoming friends with them and he was protective of his friends.

Harris then told them to switch, Ariadne just leaving Lydia, got paired with Erica. " What're you going to do to her?" Ariadne asked, getting straight to the point. " Don't you think the better question is, what's she gonna do to us?" Erica asked. Ariadne looked toward Lydia to already see her looking back at her. She then looked to Scott, for a quick second he looked at her, then turned back to talk to Stiles. Erica noticed the interaction and smirked. " I have to say, you guys would be cute together. But you know I've always had this feelings like I'm a little psychic. I just don't think you guys would last" Erica said, just to get under the shadow hunters nerves. " If you think it'll get to me that you slid your hand up his thigh, you're sadly mistaken. If anybody had a problem with it, it'll be Allison" Ariadne responded, saying what she felt. " Would you like it better if it were your thigh?" Erica asked, as Ariadne tended as she felt Erica's claws. " Come on, girl fight in the lab, it'll be hot" Erica teased, sinking her claws into her leg. Ariadne grabbed her hand and twisted it, breaking the bones. " Don't tempt me, Erica. I'd be the one to smash your head in on the table. That's a fight you'll lose, again" Ariadne said smirking, watching as Erica cradled her hand.

Scott and Ariadne were paired next. " I heard the bone break" Scott said, breaking the silence. " Look Scott I know we have a responsibility to look out for people, but Erica is seriously getting on my last nerve. I wouldn't mind throwing her to the hunters" Ariadne said, telling the truth. " I know, I heard the conversation, between you guys. So if you do fight, don't kill her" Scott said joking, but he knew deep down he was being serious.

The last and final station being Isaac and Ariadne. The tension between the two was thick. " You know, I'm surprised you didn't rip Erica in half back there" Isaac said, letting her know that he also heard the conversation. " Do you want me to? If I do you might be next" she threatened him, she had enough of this day and just wanted something to take her anger out on. " You know through these little transitions with the experiments, I've gotten a lot of threats from your friends. A lot of them told me they would kill me. Especially the boy, I really enjoyed Aries and Scott's threat, those were nice. The question is though, would you really kill me?" Isaac asked seriously, even though he wanted to joke about it he couldn't help but wonder if her sarcastic threats could be real. She sighed, " I don't know, if you were to say, I don't know go after one of my friends then yeah, I'll kill you" she sarcastically said. Isaac rolled his eyes and repeated the question again, wanting a serious answer. " I don't know, probably not. Just don't make me super angry where I black out, that won't be pretty for nobody" she said seriously. She's only ever blacked out once, and that was right after her mom left.

" Time. If you've done the experiment correctly, you'll get a crystal. Now for the good part, you can eat it" Harris said, directing it to the students. The teens all looked at Lydia as they watched her pick up the crystal. " Lydia!" Scott yelled, catching the attention of everybody. " What?" She asked annoyed, Scott sighed and shook his head. It wasn't like he could tell her not to eat it in front of everybody. They all watched as she ate the crystal, which had the venom on it, nothing happened and all the teens looked at each other. Lydia was the Kanima.
