You've been avoiding me

3rd PERSON POV

It hasn't even been a day since the death of the nogitsune, and most of the pack took a day off of school. Aries and Oceanus noticed a change in Ariadne. She was angrier and had been spending a lot more time with the twins, which wasn't a bad thing, she had to learn of anything different had been happening with them.

"Aria? We need to talk" Aries said as he and Oceanus approached the girl. "Why? I need to get back to training" but she still stopped to look at them. "We've noticed a change in you, and we wanted to make sure you're alright. We know that you broke up with Scott" Ocean said, which angered the girl. "What?" The boys asked in unison.

"You both have some verve trying to say that you care. I love you guys, I do, but you can't sit here and say that when my last wish was for you guys not to bring me back!" Aria yelled. The boys were shocked to say the least. "We thought we were doing what's best for you. Do you know how hard it was to see you there? To know that I couldn't say goodbye? That I couldn't save you?" Oceanus now telling too. It was only a matter of time before Aries started yelling.

"You don't understand! I feel lost! I was supposed to be dead. I was ok with dying. But you guys brought me back. I... I don't feel right in my own body. I'm not ok with myself, I don't know what I can do now, I don't know if the twins are like me. I don't know anything" Aria said with tears in her eyes. Something felt wrong in her body, like, apart of her soul was gone.

"And not to mention, do you know how much of a risk you guys took bringing me back? The clave will know, and when they do, this whole family will be stripped of everything!" Their chests heaved up and down due to anger. "Fuck the clave! They weren't there to see you die! And they don't even care! We knew the risk going in, and if we pay the price..." Aries trailed off as he shrugged his shoulders. But they didn't understand, not everybody had something to do with bringing her back.

Aria rolled her eyes as she brushed past them. "Where are you going?" They called out to her. "To see a friend. Don't wait up" she slammed the door and got into the car. She made her way to Stiles house as she calmed down. There was definitely some tension there between them, and she wanted to address it now.

"Hey, Aria. I'm so happy to hear that you're ok" the sheriff pulled her into a hug and let her through to see Stiles. "Well, this place does look different" Aria startled Stiles, causing him to drop his papers. "It's weird seeing this room plain, you know?" Stiles nodded and avoided her eyes. She had enough of walking on eggshells and grabbed his wrist. "Talk to me. I need normalcy" Aria pleaded with him.

"How can we be normal again if I blame myself?" Stiles asked. "Please don't" she begged. "Don't what?" He asked confused. "Don't blame yourself" Stiles scoffed. "And how can't I? You wouldn't have died if you didn't need to go save Lydia. And Lydia wouldn't have been there in the first place if I hadn't gotten possessed" Aria rolled her eyes, they were really doing this. "Ok, since we're playing the blame game, then this is truthfully my brother, Aries, and I's fault. We let you guys sacrifice yourselves. We didn't help you try to close the door. We didn't start looking for solutions immediately as soon as we realized. So, we're to blame" she ranted to him.

Nobody said a word for a few minutes, trying to find a way to settle this. "I guess we're both messed up, huh?" Stiles asked as he looked over at her. "Yea, talk about a real bonding experience" Aria laid her head on Stiles shoulder, feeling his comfort. "I heard you broke up with Scott" she groaned but didn't move. "I don't feel right, Stiles. I don't know if you understand, but, it'll take a while to understand this new part of me and I don't want Scott to feel the pressure of what I have to deal with" Stiles understood not feeling comfortable in your own body, that was something he'll always understand.

"Just know, Scott is going to wait for you. No matter how long it takes. Gosh, all summer that's all Scott did. He always talked about waiting for you. It got so annoying I was tempted to shove wolfsbane down his throat" the duo burst out into a fit of laugher. "I know you. You're the girl who helped turn me back to human. And recently died" they turned their heads to see Malia standing in the doorway.

"Yea, wasn't exactly the best day. I'm Ariadne, but you can call me Aria" Aria offered her hand, which Malia took. "Is she coming with us?" Malia asked Stiles. "Going where?" She asked them both. "Uh, well-" Stiles couldn't finish as Malia answered. "He's taking me to see Scott. He can help me with my transformation" Aria smirked. "I like you. You'll definitely give a few people a run for their money" Malia smiled. Aiden and Malia will bump heads a lot, and it'll be so fun to watch.

"But, no, I'm not going, I have to go do something. Later, Malia. I'll call you, Stiles" she waved goodbye and made her way to the woods so she could meet up with the twins.

"Can you tell us why we're meeting at the Hale house?" Aiden asked as he was Ariadne walking up to them. "This is where I spent a lot of my time training to find you guys, actually. And we're here to test out a few theories. Any questions?" She asked with a hand on her hip. "No ma'am" Ethan replied as he and his brother walked in first. Ok, I'm gonna hide really fast, ok? But here's the catch; I don't want you to find me by using your hearing or sense of smell, I want you to find me by instinct. By connection, you know? Feel where I am" she instructed.

The boys did as they were told and closed their eyes, they weren't going to cheat because they wanted to know as well if anything was different. After a minute, they opened their eyes and looked. They started with upstairs, seeing as it was the most logical place to hide. "Anything?" Ethan whispered to his twin as they met in the middle. "Nothing. Downstairs?" They had their way down the stairs, before Aiden stopped Ethan.

"Let's actually try to feel for her. Like feel the connection" Ethan nodded as they closed their eyes, trying to feel for her. After all, it was her stele that brought them back, so the connection was there.

The twins stopped in the burnt kitchen, "she's definitely here" Ethan said as he looked around. A few minutes into searching, they were getting the feeling that they really couldn't feel her. "Hang on. What about there?" Aiden pointed to an empty spot by the kitchen counter.

Aiden walked forward and was able to actually grab her wrist. "Ha! It actually worked!" Aiden cheered. "Did you guys cheat?" Aria asked skeptically. "Oh, how low you think of us" Aiden replied with a mock look of hurt. "No, we actually tried to feel for you and it worked" Ethan ignored his brother. "Ok, next theory. Go stand by the stairs" and once again, they did as they were told.

"Take out your claws" Aria instructed. They wasted no time in doing so. "Good, now scratch your arm" the twins looked at her weirdly. "You can heal. Just do it" they nodded and scratched their arm. "Did you feel that?" Aiden asked in wonder as Aria hissed and looked at her arm. "Yea, but it doesn't leave a mark. My turn" the twins couldn't even protest before she grabbed her stele and burned it on her skin.

"A warning would've been nice" Ethan groaned. "Ok, so we can feel each other's pain. That's nice. It'll let me know when you guys are in trouble" Ethan and Aiden now sat up straight, this was bound to be interesting.

"Ok, I have to go home. I've got something I have to do. We'll talk soon" Aria bid them a goodbye and walked back to the car.

"I'm home!" She called out as she shut the door. "In the kitchen!" Oceanus replied. She walked in to see them eating at the table. Aria looked between them and was having a debate within herself. "I'm sorry" she blurted out. "I was just angry and frustrated with myself, that I took it out on you guys. It wasn't right" she apologized. "It's ok, we weren't considerate of your dying wish. We're sorry too" they pulled each other into a group hug.

"Ok. Ok, it's been a long day and I stink. I'm going to shower and go to bed" Aria said as they pulled away from each other. They were all hoping that they could have peace in the town for awhile, but nothing lasts forever.

AUTHORS NOTE

So, we found out that Ethan and Aiden are connected to Ariadne. And yes, it has everything to do with the rings she gave them. The rings basically keep them from becoming the forsaken and give them a connection with her. Next chapters will pick up with season four.
